The next Dragon Age did indeed put in an appearance at The Game Awards 2018, but don't get too excited just yet -- all we got was a very brief teaser trailer accompanied by the hashtag #TheDreadWolfRises. Those of you who played Dragon Age: Inquisition will know what that means.
Insiders reckon the next Dragon Age is at least three years away or thereabouts, so it could be a long time before we see anything more.
Still, has this teaser got you excited? Heat things up in the comments section below.

I loved DA Origins, Really liked DA 2, Inquisition was...mehh
I hope this one will be better, but since EA took over Bioware, I don't expect it to be any good
dragon age inquisition is easily top 5 rpgs of all times mages class is the best.cant wait for 4.word up son
"I suspect you have questions"
I do actually, can you manage to not f**k this up, Bioware?
Hyped but not hyped at the same time... we’ll see if this gets butchered by publisher meddling or not. I loved Inquisition, never understood the hate for that game. Sure, maybe it was a little bloated, but I mostly stuck to just the story and did side stuff just to get leveled up quick. Maybe they’ll take feedback from all the complainers and not litter the map with stuff I guess? 🤷🏻♂️ Honestly thought the story was good too, but what do I know.
@JesWood13 the game won game of the year people hate ea.they are bunch of hypocrite.they say they hate ea but they buy they're games.wtf.word up son
Odd choice to even show this now, it doesn’t even have a name yet. I with the few that thoroughly enjoyed Inquisition so will try to remain cautiously optimistic despite the EA factor.
If it's a single-player game, I will definitely buy it.
It's difficult to trust Bioware nowadays , but Inquisition still was a solid game imo.
I've never played the series before but own most of the games...looking forward to seeing some gameplay.
@Amusei
I have to agree with MOST of what u said earlier. I also loved dragon age origins and thought it was like the best and new IP at the time and it really made an excellent entry point. I also agree that DA 2 sort of was great in some ways and VASTLY different from what made Origins so great but I still admire the amount of attention and detail bioware clearly put into the games production (the dialogue had a staggering amount and broke new records for the most ever voice acted in a game at that time). And then came DA Inquisition. While it definitely strayed even further from the original idea than DA 2 did, it also had some so-so qualities that didn't feel too far fetched to be a part of the Dragon Age mythology. I mean yeah, I agree EA is the problem here, but I just couldn't make myself say DA Inquisition was a bad game necessarily, it was just my hopes and expectations were so high, that when it turned out like it did, myself and many other fans as well was devastated and in disbelief, but if you go back and play it again now, you will find plenty of things to keep u going for a while. But I believe that given all this time and between Bioware and EA both having done careful analysis and feedback from what fans wanted to see, I am in high hopes that they may get it right. May not be another DA Origins, but hey as long as it's not a Mass Effect Andromeda, I'll be pleased!!
Strangely enough, I never really liked Solas until I played the game again as an elf character. Yes, I did actually play DA Inquisition twice.
@ApostateMage did you play the tresspasser DLC?
@jim_bob_89 I don't think Inquisition was a bad game perse, it just had way too much filler and Idk, it just felt so weak to me as a whole, compared to the previous iterations. Honestly, I don't remember much of it and I've actually beaten the main story and all the dlc lol, but I definitely felt bored a lot, which I never experienced during Origins and even roaming in Kirkwall in DA2 was more pleasant for me. Really liked the dragons though! Lets hope they have learned from Andromeda! 🤞
@QualityGeezer I think I bought it in a sale a while back but never played it. Any good?
I liked Dragon Age Inquisition. My only problem with it was that it was easy to quickly over level and made the last part of the story a cakewalk.
@ApostateMage you really need to play it! It's the true ending of the game and throws a twist in regards solas that will blow your mind and give you a completely different perspective on his character
@playstation1995 Legend of Dragoon, Legend of Legaia 1/2 Koudelka, Final Fantasy 7/8/9/10/12 Vagrant Story, Breath of Fire 3/4, Parasite Eve 1/2, Shin Megani Tensai, Xenogears so many great RPG games i like better. 😜
@QualityGeezer @ApostateMage Yeah you should definitely play Tresspasser, it's really good. Easily the best Inquisition DLC and it wraps the entire story up for every character.
I'll be hesitant on this game until we see some gameplay. I enjoyed the first two Dragon Age games, but Inquisition was just "eh" to me.
@QualityGeezer @ShogunRok Ta fellas, I'm intrigued to play it now and see what that bald smug git is up to.
YAY new Dragon Ag..............OH CRAP it's EA
i wonder how they will fit Microtransactions and Loot Boxes into this one?
OMG I am more hyped about this than anything else, it connects to Trespasser so seamlessly! I want to kill that bald son of a wolf
Firmly waiting on reviews. DA is a hit or miss for series for me (like all EAware games. ) I like the world, but the story is all over the place but a part of me wants to see it to its conclusion ....I shall wait and see.
@Amusei
Yeah, gotta say I agree with everything u jus said. DA Inquisition steered too far from the comfort zone of what the ideal DA game should be as far as fetch quests and monotony. Let us hope this trend does not persist with the upcoming DA! Cuz I am and always will be a lifetime fan & supporter of Origins and DA 2 and just want Bioware to be able to figure out how to make a Dragon Age of that caliber with EA backing em. I just hope it is even possible!!
