Whip out the Kleenex and close the curtains, because Koei Tecmo has peeled off the first trailer for Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Scarlet. The re-release – which will controversially lack ‘Softening Gel’ on Sony’s system – adds a new character and various other gameplay improvements compared to its predecessor.

Those who purchase the PS4 version prior to 20th April will get free access to the PlayStation VR powered ‘VR Passport’ extension, which will allow you to get up close and personal with the buxom babes without risking a restraining order. The title’s due out in Japan on 20th March, and there’s virtually zero chance of a Western release.

Subtlety surely is your strong suite, isn't it Sammy XD
I'm all for choice, but I can easily see feminist groups jumping all over this. Not to mention Sony's new-found 'think of the children' censorship policies.
Good lord. This is a sad state of affairs.
Japan, you really need to get with the times.
I have no issue with these games, but I really didn't like the one I tried, so I'll continue to ignore them.
Nearly as controversial as a French DJ asking a woman footballer if she twerks.
The west is f**ked, I'm sodding off to Japan.
@ApostateMage can i come?
Gameplay improvements? If the volleyball part was good I would actually get this. What I find kinda of dumb is that not all of the female DOA characters are included. No Tina and Lisa? Whack :/
It honestly looks relaxing and I love collecting swimsuits and presents fro the girls...you can sell this TK
Not sure I’ll be picking this one up as it all feels mildly uncomfortable lol. There’s just something about those graphics that creeps me out. Maybe I’m a soft touch for the whole ‘uncanny valley’ effect. I do think there’s probably a market out there for this sort of game(?)/whatever it even is.
I'm just waiting for DOA6.
@DerMeister Same here February 15 is gonna be Damn Awesome.
@Jriibz Girls sounding more high-pitched is a thing in Japan. It’s done intentionally a lot of the time because it’s viewed as cuter. I mean regular girls too, not anime or video game girls and stuff. I think it’s cute too personally.
@Feena It's too bad it's still not coming to the west, but at least we have Play-Asia to import it in English.
@ApostateMage To put the DJ and female footballer in to context, it was the first time ever they have given the Ballon d’Or to a woman. The male winner was not asked the same question.
Really looks like a horrible game dressed up with girls in bikinis.
@hi_drnick ‘You Neanderthals need to do exactly as us superior westerners tell you to!’
Get real, dude.
@ApostateMage May i ask you why he asked something like that? Do we ask these things at a male athelete? I think its somewhat stupid and it shows no respect.
@ellsworth004 I have the first one its kinda boring the volleybal is the best thing.
@Flaming_Kaiser So you're not coming to Japan with me and @Tha_Likely_Lad then?
@thatguyEZ hahaha. You're going after the wrong guy, fella. Hey, but if you'd like to get schooled on Japan, bring it on.
@ApostateMage the more the merrier. Yatta
@Jriibz I wasn’t sure if you knew it was a regular thing in real life in Japan is all. Beyond games and stuff.
@hi_drnick I was just saying you sounded like a bit of a joker, fam. Japan seems to be more with the times than all these countries still stuck in the second century after all.
