Crikey! Square Enix has released the opening movie for Kingdom Hearts III, and it’s pretty much exactly what you’d expect it to be. In this 90-second clip, slick CGI is paired with The Chainsmokers-esque electropop – this game knows its audience almost too well. The song is actually a collaboration between long time series contributor Hikaru Utada and Skrillex, and we reckon it fits the visuals well.
Hype enough for you, Kingdom Hearts fans? The title’s so close now we can almost taste it, so feel free to freak out in the comments section below.
Kingdom Hearts is one of those games.. well, let's put it this way, I can die peacefully knowing that I don't understand any of it, and not having played it either. I'm fine with it at this point, I've given up
this is a pretty good song it isn't as catchy as the ones for the previous games but still good none the less
They do know their audience. I'm really excited to play this game! =)
As lame as it sounds to say a video game release is one of the most anticipated moments of your life, Kingdom Hearts III is one of the most anticipated moments of my life. Simply processing that I'll be playing it in less than two months is daunting.
That song is just....bad
As far as the music video goes, I love the CGI but merely like the song. It's very nice until the Skrillex moment jarringly pops up at the end. I hope the rest of the song isn't like that. I kinda wish they had just used an alternate version of Don't Think Twice, like the last two console entries.
Already watch it more than 10 times, this is good stuff, I really can't wait for the game
@RBMango I like skrillex moment, it perfectly match the fight. Unlike that horrible mortal kombat 11 music/rap..
@wiiware Granted, It's nowhere near as off-putting as the MK11 trailer music, which was just a really bad idea.
Decent enough song until the awful Skrillex mixing stuff near the end which kinds of ruins it for me! Definitely keenly anticipating KH3 now - loved most of the Disney worlds so much, though replayed 1&2 recently after a decade and I can't put into words how much main villain annoyed me at the end of both games and couldn't help thinking that they should've been collecting brains instead of hearts!
I'm resisting watching this but it's so difficult
Garbage, just garbage.
as far as i understand this is not the opening movie, just a trailer for it
I enjoyed it until skrillex got involved. That was just incredibly painful to listen to. I dont get it at all. Why was that a good idea?
Video was great though and i am so excited to finally play this.
Million times better than that Mortal Kombat song
This trailer reminds me I need to resume playing Dream Drop Distance soon as I beat both Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon and both Spider-Man DLCs.
