Geez, this Granblue thing is big business, huh? Cygames is not only paying Platinum Games to make a full-scale PlayStation 4 action RPG based on the smartphone series, but it’s also roped in Dragon Ball FighterZ developer Arc System Works for a fighter as well. The one-on-one brawler – named Granblue Fantasy Versus – will release on Sony’s console next year in Japan, but very few other details have been announced.
You can check out a trailer embedded above, though. To be honest, it looks to be more or less exactly what you’d expect from a modern Arc System Works fighter, with glorious 3D environments and bold sprite-like character models. We’re guessing that this is still relatively early in development, but it’s cool to see a company throwing cash around just because it, well, can.

Another e x c l u s i v e
I doubt this’ll be popular in the West it’ll prob have an audience and not sure w Japan since the Japanese & Fighters aren’t always clicking although Granblue is
popular so who knows.
With this, Cross Tag, and the Kill La Kill game it seems like they're just shoving out stuff until something sticks.
But this seems like Battle Fantasia re-skinned.
@Xaessya Ha, my thoughts exactly.
That looks dope af. Didn't know GranBlue had enough fighter's for a full roster though. That theme kicks ass.
Rumour has it that persona 5 arena has been delayed so arc can wprk on this - interesting stuff!
Slowly I'm starting to think: "Hey, Western PlayStation audience, keep playing your same FIFA and CoD sh*t, I'm open for some great niche titles." Who the eff cares if it will sell well here, it looks awesome and I'm going to buy it. That's all what matters.
Another arc system fighter? I'm in .
Also lol at 1:23
It looks beautiful
I'll get it as long as Sony don't censor it.
Granblue Fantasy Re:Link is shaping up to be a great game, Sony needs to buy the franchise, quick!
