Yes, Sora fans, it's time to break out the champagne -- Kingdom Hearts III has gone gold. Development of the elusive title is over at last, and hopeful players can now rest assured that it'll definitely make its 29th January release date. Tetsuya Nomura, the game's director, confirmed this in a recent tweet.
He also shared a new trailer for the game, which we've embedded above. It shows off plenty of new footage, and sets the tone for what'll likely be an enjoyable adventure through various Disney worlds.

I was talking about this to my friend last night. I can’t believe it’s only 2 months away. I’m more excited about this than I was God of War and Spider-Man, so let’s hope it can live up to that 😅
@ztpayne7 me too, i'm really looking forward to this one
I wonder if I could just jump in at this game and skip all the previous games leading up to it. I’m interested, but not that interested.
@Th3solution you could, if you can ignore the square enix side of the story (and returning worlds like pirates, winnie the pooh and hercules)
IT'S HAPPENING!!! IT'S HAPPENING!!!
@NintendoFan4Lyf

Already preordered. Cant wait!
cool.one of my favorite franchises ever .next to grand theft auto .syphon filter.god of war.etc.word up son
Great news, I played a lot of 1 and 2 recently but cleared neither. I don't really love these games to be honest but I do have a soft spot for them so I'll probably get this one at launch.
Role on FF7!!
Can't wait to get the Deluxe Edition on Xbox One.
Thank you, Square Enix. Now, there's the little matter of that Final Fantasy VII remake you promised us; I'd like to be able to play it on my PS4. It'll be a couple of years after next generation launches before I upgrade to PS5. I'm not an earlier adopter, so please take advantage of the huge install base of the current generation.
I recently bought 1 and 2 but never really got into them as they were a bit clunky even taking into account when they originally came out. I'm still excited for this though and will be picking it up at launch but it will have to wait until I finish Resident Evil 2 😉
@darkswabber @KingdomHeartsFan So having seen all the Disney movies and having played most of the Final Fantasy games probably doesn’t help, I suppose. I at least know all the back stories. Maybe that helps?
@NintendoFan4Lyf Can’t be as convoluted as the Metal Gear Solid series, surely.
I honestly cannot believe that it is just over 2 months away. Doesn't feel real!
Man, crazy that the game is out in a few months.
Feels like it's been in development hell for what feels like ages.
i'll pick up the complete edition on black friday 2019! i don't know how s-e will handle the dlc's but i don't trust them and much prefer to wait until all the content is out before making a purchase. i have been with the series since kh1 released back in 2002... the finale to the story has been a LONG TIME COMING indeed! not that i understand anything that is happening at this point, but that is OK!
I cannot wait for this. I have a deluxe edition pre-ordered. I'm just about done playing all the games too, just need to get 2.8 and play 3D and Fragmentary Passage.
The wait it's almost over
That's fast for SE standard.
Massively excited, though I think you have to have played the originals as a child to really be into it! I never believed that KH3 would come to fruition until recently, but now I'm excited for it beyond belief!
Glad to hear, though I wasn't worried about another delay.
Looking forward to finally experiencing the climatic ending to this franchise.
