Publisher XSEED Games has confirmed that the upcoming PlayStation 4 ports of The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel and The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II will have cross-save functionality. This means that you'll be able to transfer save data from the PlayStation 3 or PS Vita versions of the games.
it's a particularly handy feature in this case, since the Trails of Cold Steel series tells a continuing story, with each title carrying on the narrative of the previous entry.
The PS4 ports of the first two games are due out in early 2019, in both North America and Europe.

Trails of Cold Steel is the captain of my backlog. I really need to finish playing these games as they have quite a following. Cross Save functionality does make it more enticing to double dip and be able to play on the go or on the big screen and not lose progress.
The has got to be some kind of middle ground between crunching and taking longer than the original development time to translate games. I guess the are plenty of other game is playing meantime.
Hopefully we'll also be able to transfer our Vita saves to Cold Steel 3.
@Ryall XSeed's Falcom localisations are brilliant though. I would rather them than the half-arsed job NISA do.
Is this a 2 in 1 deal or two separate releases?
@Matroska separate
