We're very much looking forward to Tetris Effect. It's quietly one of the most exciting games on the horizon; not only does it look to bring a totally unique flair to the peerless puzzler, but rhythm game mastermind Tetsuya Mizuguchi is at the helm. The man behind such classics as Rez and Lumines is bringing his musical touch to Tetris, and it looks awesome.
The game is launching pretty soon, on 9th November, but if you're like us, you'll want to get your hands on it as soon as possible. Interestingly, Mark MacDonald of Enhance Games has casually brought up a demo heading to PlayStation Store before launch.
Speaking to Game Informer on its podcast, MacDonald said the free demo will launch on 1st November, but will only be available to play until the 5th. So, for the weekend before the game's launch, you'll be able to take it out for a T-spin. He also pointed out that the demo will be playable in PlayStation VR as well as on a regular setup, just like the final game.
Will you be checking out the demo for Tetris Effect? Are you excited to be stacking blocks to some catchy tunes and trippy visuals? Get in the zone in the comments below.

Yes! With Red Dead out it will be quite some time before I actually purchase this game, but a nice little taste might change that .
I've been really looking forward to this onem
Can't wait to try this out.
Yes friggin please!!!
i want to know what is happening with the physical UK release but the demo is nice anyway, i will download it when it's up.
What's up with these limited time demos. Seems like they would want to keep the demo out their as long as possible to get people interested. Well unless the game is not good, then I guess they probably shouldn't do a demo at all.
Cool, definitely going to try the demo. My only concern is the lack of multiplayer.
@huyi same here in Australia! Can’t find a physical pre order anywhere and it’s only 2 weeks away!
@SwanPrincess83 it's looking more likely that it's going to be a digital only title unfortunately.
Why limited time? You’d think it would be helpful to keep it up there.
Might try the demo if I have some time to kill. Definitely interested in this one.
100 % trying this in vr. That song from the reveal is on constant loop in my head
Looks fantastic, but £35 for Tetris (even in VR)...
I'll wait for a 50% sale at least
Cool, I'll give the demo a try, though I've played plenty of Tetris in the past, so I'm not that eager to get the full game.
@ellsworth004 @Jaz007 If they released a demo for Tetris Effect and let players have it for as long as they'd like, there'd be no incentive to ever buy the full game. It's just how Tetris is. It's more of a free trial than a demo.
@huyi did you see?? EBgames finally listed the physical pre order today!!! So happy we weren’t forgotten 😄
@SwanPrincess83 eb games of all places? i don't think the uk has a eb games, equivalent to that is GAME but there is no hint of it being there at all.
