Forgive me, I don't know a whole lot about the SoulCaliber series, but is the characters losing layers of clothing always been a thing?

@adf86 There are 100 custom character slots as far as I remember.

I love you for tagging me in this, because you've reminded me of a gaming highlight from my university days.

My flatmate had an Xbox360 and a copy of Soul Calibur IV (the one with Yoda) and we decided to get an inter-flat tournament going, so each created our own characters; the customisation has been pretty in-depth for a while. Both my flatmates, and all the friends we invited over, were straight guys in the most stereotypical ways. They either made scantily-clad women of ridiculous proportions, or hulking armour-covered brutes.

So my character was a regular, default guy in what was basically a Speedo, which I coloured sparkly gold, and nothing else. I called him "Abomination" and got much, much further in the tournament with him than my button-mashing skills should've allowed, thanks mostly to the terrified, insecure squirms of my opponents.

Ah... good times.

Hahaha, the character creator is making me want this game. I’m gonna have or pick it up at some point now. It’s accessible, has an awesome character creator, and all round sounds like what I want from a fighter

@Gmork___ Cool. The character creator in this seems extremely robust, and being able to import ones created by other people seems like it'll add a lot to the game for those of us without the patience to fiddle with these sorts of modes.

Yeah but they need A LOT MORE clothing/armor/etc. Also a lot of the pieces dont fit correctly and are essentially unusable due to them literally floating around the characters waist due to the clothing being WAY too large
