Since the launch of the massive NEXT update for divisive space exploration game No Man's Sky, Hello Games has been continually updating and improving the title every week. There's a lot of effort going into making the game the best it can be, with the small developer recently adding the ability to further customise your character and a brand new land vehicle. The next free round of content is on the way, and it's being called The Abyss.
Unfortunately there are no details on exactly what The Abyss is set to bring to the galactic table, but Sean Murray states that it "focuses on some of the eerier elements of No Man’s Sky, in keeping with the theme of this season." Going by the name, it could be that we'll see some creepy missions that take explorers into deep dark caverns, or even to the bottom of the sea -- maybe we'll discover a mysterious race of aliens down there?
Whatever the case, the update launches next week on PS4. Will you be staring into The Abyss? Equip your fluid breathing system in the comments below.

I would assume it allows spaceships to go below the oceans and explore massive underground caves and such.
Haven't gone back to NMS in a while. I will check this out this next update and maybe scout out a few planets for a new base. Good on Hello Games to keep going with the updates.
Its hard not to have a bit of respect for Hello games at this point sticking with NMS. I would go so far as to say if you have not already bought NMS is now almost the game that was promised but at a much better price.
I won't be going back into NMS until they've added PSVR support but it is still installed on my pro waiting for that day .
Great that they're continually updating/adding features... now i'll prepare my body for the PSVR support announcement... which is going to happen.... right?.... please? I'll do anything Sean... aaaaanything.
