Jump Force has gained a lot of traction recently. The character roster keeps on growing, and Bandai Namco seems to be going in hard as far as marketing is concerned. But now things are really getting interesting, with Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama crafting four brand new characters for the game.
All four of them are original, and they'll play key roles in the title's story. You can get a good look at their designs via the trailer that we've embedded above.

interesting but why just Toriyama, DBZ, Naruto and One Piece seem to be the big 3 in the game so i wonder why Kishimoto and Oda didn't create one of them
I just can’t stand Toriyama’s designs. He’s been nearly ubiquitous for almost 40 years, and it’s not like his style is that varied, so characters really begin to all look alike.
@clvr
Toriyama has such a large history with game design (Blue Dragon, Dragon Quest, Chrono Trigger) im not surprised he did these. But who knows maybe there will be some characters the others did too
Name:
Navigator
Role:
Navigator.
I'm getting serious Revolver Ocelot vibes from that.
@Arminillo oh yeah, of course he’s huge in both the manga/anime and games scene, it’s just his style is getting repetitive.
Though to be honest I think you probably wanted to tag @FullbringIchigo and reply to his comment, not mine lol 😆
Worth pointing out that Toriyama's been designing characters for nearly 50 years.
There's only so much one man can do. In my opinion, it's frankly incredible that he can still make such good looking characters.
Interesting, Cobra still needs to make the cut for this game though.
Seeing those pre order outfits really makes me think character creation is a thing
No comment/opinion yet but I am interested.
@ShogunRok i agree 100%
and i just want to point out i know Toriyama has been doing video games characters for years and i wasn't knocking that, i love Toriyamas designs but i was just thinking it would have been great if Oda and Kishimoto also did some O.C's for the game as it is based around the 3 series, Dragon Ball, Naruto & One Piece
and it's not like Toriyama and Oda haven't worked together before either, just look at the Cross Epoch manga

AND Toriyama and Kishimoto too just look at the promo piece they did for Battle of Z and Storm Generations

so i'm sure they would have been able to work together here too
@FullbringIchigo Yeah I know what you mean, definitely a bit of a shame that there's been no collaboration.
I've always found the repetitiveness of Toriyama's character designs to be oddly charming. Hard to put my finger on it, but there's just something satisfying about the consistency it brings.
