Metro: Exodus has always looked pretty promising, but this latest trailer highlights a couple of things. Firstly, the game looks gorgeous, the ruined Russia setting providing some great backdrops and a fantastic atmosphere. Secondly, there is some very creepy stuff going down.
It doesn't show a whole lot of action, but the new video gives us a brief taste of the kind of baddies we can expect to find in the open world, as well as the locations we'll be exploring. If it's anything like the other games in the series, it should be gripping stuff.
What do you think of this new Metro: Exodus trailer? Are you excited to play when it releases in February? Hop on the metro and take the line to the comments below.

Day one because I loved the second game.
honestly for me this is easily going to match RD2 and Spidey
I'm getting a stronger horror vibe from this game compared to the previous ones, it's almost Resident Evil 7-like. It also feels very Stalker-esque, when you combine the atmosphere and the open-world gameplay. I didn't mind the linearity of other Metro games at all, but I have been wishing for a new Stalker experience, and this could be it.
@Bonbonetti Stalker is what came in my mind, too.
@Bonbonetti Yeah they were definitely going for the horror vibe in this trailer. I've never played Stalker personally but heared great things about it. Combining the best aspects from Metro and Stalker has great potential
I just hope they'll manage to integrate the open world elements effectively, given that the previous two games were mostly linear.
Woooaaahhhh!!! Thaaaat looooks goooood!!! 😮
Not played a Metro game before but this looks promising and I might give it a try.
There's only one February game I'm interested in... Days Gone.
This looks good, though. I'll pick it up further down the line. Got one of the older games on PS3 (with Plus, I think) and quite enjoyed it.
cant wait.i l💜ve the metro series.word up son
@PS_Nation What about the first one!
Personally I liked the first game better from a pure gameplay perspective (the gunfight in the Nazi station, for example) but think the second one absolutely kills it in the atmosphere department (like when you traverse a freeway underpass in a rainstorm, etc).
@keihtg It’s a great game too, but the sequel is really special, imo. One of the best FPS ever made.
@keihtg @PS_Nation I've never played the Metro games before, do they have a strong single player story/plot, like Last of Us/Tomb Raider etc?
@KidBoruto Yes, these games are pretty heavy on plot and atmosphere (the latter being the strongest) and serve up memorable single-player experiences! Both games have demos, so try them out! Also, they regularly go on sale for $7.50 (for the 2-game collection) so you really can't lose!
My only advice would be NOT to play the games on the hardest difficulty ("Ranger Hardcore") at first because it hides the HUD. Normally this wouldn't be a bad thing, except it hides ALL HUD elements indiscriminately, so you can't even see the pop-up menu wheel for selecting items (so you have to memorize the button presses). Excellent games regardless.
@KidBoruto The plot is amazing, I really recommend you to buy both games, the plot is really touching.
Without spoilers, I wanted to cry during the second game.
@PS_Nation @keihtg I was just curious mainly, already own the first 2 games, but sadly they're low priority compared to other games in my backlog.
However I will for sure try them out once I can get around to them.
