Resident Evil 2 PS4 PlayStation 4 1

Resident Evil 2, the anticipated survival horror remake announced just weeks ago at E3 2018, hosted a prominent panel at San Diego Comic Con earlier today, where Capcom revealed the box art for the title. The image, which shows protagonists Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield standing back-to-back, is clearly inspired by a classic piece of key art from the original PSone release.

The publisher also announced a Collector’s Edition, which comes packaged in a case inspired by the series’ iconic Item Boxes. It includes a copy of the game, as well as a 12-inch Leon figurine, an artbook, a digital soundtrack, and a poster featuring design blueprints for the Raccoon Police Department. You’ll also get some in-game DLC, including a soundtrack swap featuring the title’s original music.

Unfortunately, the Collector’s Edition will be exclusive to GameStop and EB Games, and will retail for an eye-watering $199.99. It’s a pretty cool package, but that’s a bit pricey as far as we’re concerned. What do you reckon? Will you be plumping up for the premium edition, or just sticking to the standard version?
