Uncharted fans believe Firefly star Nathan Fillion may be teasing something to do with Uncharted. The American actor posted a very curious message on Instagram this week, showing a picture of Drake (the Canadian rapper) and the ‘Sic Parvis Magna’ message engraved on Nathan Drake’s ring. He accompanied the quote with a date: 16th July.
Exactly what it means is still very much up in the air, though Fillion has been linked with the role of the Uncharted protagonist for a long time; many felt he was the perfect fit for the long-in-production movie, which has been rebooted dozens of times. Most recently, Spider-Man’s Tom Holland was linked with the role.
It’s possible that Sony could make a movie with an older Drake (Fillion) regaling tales of his younger days (Holland), but we’re still not convinced this film is ever going to get made. Either way, we’ll (hopefully) find out exactly what Fillion is teasing on Monday. Don’t get your hopes up too high – it could literally be anything.

It would be neat, but they should have done it with Nolan North could have done he role after a little body preparation. Heck, I’d take an older Drake wkth him in the role than another actor still.
Hopefully a teaser trailer starting with Nathan Fillion playing Crash Bandicoot.
well i see it as 3 things
1: He is going to play Drake in a live action movie
2: he is going to voice an adult son of Drake (or some other family member) in a new Uncharted game
3: it's nothing to do with Uncharted at all

Never saw Firefly, so I don't know why people want him for Drake so much.
Still don't think an Uncharted movie work, as the games are already movie like enough (and I mean that as a compliment).

@DerMeister to be honest i don't see the point in live action films based on movies at all, they should take the Square Enix approach (i know theirs haven't always hit home) of doing a CG movie with all the original voice actors reprising their roles, that way not only do you get to craft a new story but your characters are instantly recognisable

Fillion will be too old to even play Sully by the time this movie gets made, if it ever does. Something will. Maybe Dwayne Johnson can play Drake, he plays everyone else.
For the record I was all for it 6 or 8 years ago myself, but he's too old now. Unless it's a movie about his daughter going all Tomb Raider and he's her Sully, or limited like Sam in U: Lost Legacy.

I kept hearing Nathan Fillion's name pop up to play Nate Drake in movies and wondered why. After I watched the short but fantastic Firefly series I knew why. His voice and mannerisms are the the spit of Drake.
What if he's Sully, mentoring Holland as Drake?
Fillion would be an awesome Sam, I'd say.

I still think that Nathan Fillion would be perfect for the role of Nathan Drake, he is also a huge fan of Uncharted. Sony really should cast him for a role.

I'd watch the movie if they ever release it, but I'm not in a hurry to see it either.
