E3 2018: Devil May Cry 5 Announced with Nero As Lead Once Again

I'm fine with Nero as the lead. Not as fun as Dante, but they'll likely flesh out his skillset to be better than DMC4.

Not entirely sure how to feel on the tone. DMC's always had it's silliness, but hopefully it's not terrible.

Swear to christ when they showed Nero i thought it was the DmC version of Dante and was like nooooooooo haha. Looks great though.

Dante was on the image on the MS conference though, maybe play half the game as Nero, then Dante like DMC4

God I hope Dante gets his own levels and bosses and not shoehorned into 1/3 of the game like 4.

I'm not sure about this. The style really isn't what I thought Capcom would go for, but will reserve judgement until we see it in action.

Isnt this 6? Between ports, remakes, sequels, prequels and just flat out giving games the same name as previous games I have no idea how anybody is supposed to keep their gaming catalogue spreadsheet straight.

By the way they confirmed 3 playable characters so we should get plenty of Dante (and maybe Vergil too)

Not sure what to think. I'm happy the series is back, but it's different than I expected.

Wish Dante was lead once again but I’ll defintiely check this out. Hopefully they go back to a Dante/Virgil story at some point through.

I would've taken one 15 second RE2 Remake trailer over whatever this was. Looks like someone took a Bayonetta game and threw in dad jokes.

The characters design looks ugly and scalebound like, I want my old dante/nero back

But harder than it needs to be, I don't want to own 2 GoW games, 2 GoW2 games and 2 GoW 3 games. Whats' happens when both the original GoW trilogy and the new GoW trilogy release as 8k bundles on PS6 in 8 years? Just give them new titles, or subtitles. Same for DmC and DmC. And GoW not 4 but Accession. Sure I could keep track if I really wanted to, but I shouldn't have to.

It's not hard to keep track of Devil May Cry Games: there is Devil May Cry 1-4, DmC (i.e. the reboot) and now Devil May Cry 5. Simple as that.

@naruball OK. DmC by itself is ok, but when you look at the industry as whole, GoW, Ratchet & Clank, Tomb Raider. At least add HD or something at the end. Or subtitle it. Spyro had 2 trilogies - not counting Skylanders - and it's easy to tell which 3 games are being Reignited b/c the games had subtitles.
