Can't get enough of being the last person standing? Then you're in luck, because there's another battle royale game for you to try on PlayStation 4. H1Z1: Battle Royale is now available to download from the PlayStation Store in open beta form, following on from its recent closed beta test run.
"We redesigned H1Z1 on the PlayStation 4 to cater to the action shooter fan. It’s fast-paced, intuitive, and its 15-minute matches make for fun, intense sessions," states producer Terrence Yee.

Just the latest craze, like Call of Duty was for a few years, it will pass eventually when the next big craze comes along, or when it just fizzles out as people become bored of it, whichever comes first.
All this talk of too many BR type games...ps4 has 1 BR game.

I'm downloading it now, going to give it a try, could be fun! Perhaps I'll fair better than in Fortnite where my 'building things at speed' skills are lacking.
Last of Us 2 is revealed to be a battle royale game.
The more BR games that come to PS4 the better. Its a fun social genre.
@AFCC yea you are right...I am enjoying h1z1 the bit that I've played it though and I'm interested to see what treyarch or even dice will do with a BR type game mode, the novelty hasn't worn off....yet!

@AFCC Until not an easy money grab. At a minimum it is not in Pixel Art and tons of other stuff to play.
@teknium_ @Agramonte I mean, trust me, I love Fortnite and I think it's a valid genre like FPS, 3PS, open world...is just a new genre...
But I would really prefer they would create new franchises like FN and PUBG instead of just slapping a new mode in an existing franchise...
