Dark Souls Remastered Iron Golem Boss Walkthrough Guide

Bosses in Dark Souls Remastered are the cream on the challenging cake. Sure, fighting your way through a new area is no cakewalk, but it all builds towards beating the area boss.

Not only do these guys have an enormous health bar that you'll have to whittle down piece by piece, but they also deal insane damage. So much so that it's entirely possible you could get wiped out in a single hit.

They may even be surrounded by enemies from earlier in the level, or attack you as a duo. Just you wait until you face your first double boss – that will make everything you've faced up until that point easy by comparison.

In this guide, we're going to walk you through how to beat the Iron Golem, the end boss of Sen's Fortress.

How to beat the Iron Golem in Dark Souls Remastered

The Iron Golem is pretty much exactly as it sounds. It's a massive hulking juggernaut that hits slow and hard, and can take a good few hits in retaliation before being brought down.

But the boss itself isn't the true challenge of this fight – that's the small platform on which you have to fight it. It's so easy to roll or back off it, which can be super frustrating. You also have to stay quite close to the golem, as he has got a pretty devastating ranged attack to fling at you.

Other than that, this is a pretty straightforward fight. His attacks are all slow and obvious, so you can easily roll out of the way. He does occasionally reach down, pick you up, and chuck you though, which can deal a lot of damage if you don't fall off the side of the building to your death.

The Iron Golem is particularly weak to lightning, so use lightning weapons if you can. You can also temporarily stun it by focusing your attacks on his legs. Good luck!
