Dragon Quest XI's Looking Like a Grand Adventure in 17 Minutes of PS4 Gameplay

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age is looking swell in this latest gameplay footage, which comes directly from the English version of the release. In the 17 minute video that we've embedded above, we get to see everything from dungeon exploration and combat to character interactions.

Dragon Quest XI is currently set to launch later this year on the 4th September, but as we've noted numerous times now, that month is looking seriously packed for PlayStation 4 users. Whether it ends up sticking with that release date remains to be seen.

Robert (or Rob if you're lazy) has been a fan of PlayStation since the 90s, when Tekken 2 introduced him to the incredible world of video games. He still takes his fighting games seriously, but RPGs are his true passion. The Witcher, Dragon Quest, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy, he's played 'em all — a little too much, some might say.

@Miles_Edgeworth Based on what I've heard from people who imported the Japanese version (and can read Japanese) it's got one of the best, most in-depth stories in the whole series. Can't wait to give it a go!

@ShogunRok oh wow! I've actually only played V and IX, but if this one is anything like them (which from what you say, it sounds like it is) then I might need to consider pre-ordering this.

I'm so hyped for this!Spiderman,Lara and even God Of War (if I'm still playing it by then)won't get a look in when this comes out.Dragon Quest is such a better franchise than Final Fantasy.
Umm..as for the video..I didant watch it cuz I want to go in blind

Could be another Game of the Year contender for me, and my list is huge so far. I haven't played a Dragon Quest game since the PS2, so I'm super-excited for this one, I've already pre-ordered it.
