Burnout Paradise

Burnout Paradise Remastered has been a continuous possibility for the last couple of months, with rumours, retail listings, and more seemingly outing the project. Despite this, no official word on such a game has been made, and things have definitely quietened down recently.

However, fresh evidence has cropped up that, while still far from conclusive, has rekindled conversation surrounding a possible revisit to Criterion's Paradise City.

Firstly, there's this point of sale banner that bears supposed box art for Burnout Paradise Remastered. If you ask us, it looks pretty fake, so we wouldn't put too much stock on this. However, it's still worth noting.

Next up is a cheeky little post in a ResetEra thread on the topic from an EA employee. In a thread entitled, 'Whatever happened to that Burnout Paradise Remaster?", the user F8RGE simply commented with a smiley. According to his/her profile, F8RGE is verified, essentially confirming he/she is an industry figure. Again, it's not much to go on, but it's caused a small stir on the forum nonetheless.

Lastly is this tweet from games writer 'lifelower' appears to confirm the game's existence, with original artwork and what looks like a Japanese retailer listing.

Putting it all together, alongside existing retail listings, it's pretty hard to ignore. There's every chance that EA will be announcing something soon, but we'd continue to take all of this with a pinch of salt for now. What do you think? Is Burnout Paradise Remastered really on the way? Drift into the comments and let us know.

Update: And just like that, Burnout Paradise Remastered is real. You can find the full official announcement through here.
