Wow, NetherRealm Studios really knows how to make some great additional characters doesn't it? As we've known for a while now, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are coming to Injustice 2 as part of a downloadable content pack, and the above gameplay trailer gives us our first proper look at the mean green fighting machines in action.
It looks like you can play as any of the four turtles, with other members of the gang assisting with special moves when the time is right. Seriously, though, how good do Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo look? Some real effort has been poured into this one.
The pizza-loving crew will be available at some point this month -- an exact date hasn't been given just yet. Will you be playing as these heroes in a half shell? Shout "turtle power!" in the comments section below.

This trailer actually makes Injustass pretty tempting.
Amazing.
Mad props to NetherRealm. They can take about any character, from Jason and Alien to TMNT and make them work pretty damn well in fighting games.
Can't wait for the Street Sharks in Season 3.
I'd be down for a full TMNT fighting game. Been a while since Tournament Fighters.
Wow, they actually brought back the real Turtles? kudos!
Awesome
Now we just need a 'proper' Turtles game to see these in! Not some 'fighting' game...
Raphael is cool but (c)rude at the end of the trailer. Well worth the DLC price.
@Cassetticons How bout Cowboys of Moo Mesa or Army Ants
That pizza is toasty!
@Tasuki Why stop there? Biker Mice From Mars. Netherrealms, just make Saturday Morning Brawlers and you've got a pre-order.
It's amazing how each generation makes an old brand look fresh and awesomeness! Looks good dudes!
At first I was slightly disappointed that you didn't change from different Turtles on the fly midmatch but god they look so good.
When this full game is released, and $20, I'll be all over it.
Anyone know how long it typically takes to find a match these days? I'm on the West Coast USA, btw. This DLC makes the game waaaay more tempting, but I know fighting games tend to have a big online community fall-off as the months go by.
@smelly_jr As far as I'm aware there are still a lot of people playing Injustice 2. It sold well and NetherRealm's done a good job of updating it and keeping up support.
It's got a lot of single player stuff too, so as a full package it's quite robust even when you're not playing online.
Now I hope Rocksteady is working on a TMNT game. This looks excellent.
Man this looks great
I'm waiting for a complete or GOTY edition so i can play with all the dlc characters. I would love a great TMNT action game as well, Platinum made one recently but looks like it's not good, right? I didn't try it.
Is this the last dlc character?
Looks awesome btw
Can not wait Raph is the only way!!
@smelly_jr I suck and hate fighters and somehow im playing this so long already. The multiverse is enough for a sale with the singleplayer its fantastic.
Injustice 2 has been sitting in my 'Disc-Based Videogames' PS4 folder since launch last year (or since we were allowed folders... whichever was first). I played it for about a week, sampled a little of everything, and it's been gathering dust ever since. I might've spent half an hour with Red Hood when he was released... yeah, must've, I've got a screencap of him.
Every time there's an update (and there have been a lot) I think "really should get back to that" but... I dunno, there's just been some reason I haven't, and I don't know what it is. Everything about it was perfectly fine.
Maybe it's because I only really enjoy the wider DC universe because of Batman. As far as I know, aside from the aforementioned Red Hood, none of the additional DLC characters have been members of the bat-family, and I therefore have absolutely no idea who they are.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles included.
@RogerRoger I'm only interested in DC cos of Batman as well but it's a great scrapper, I wanted Huntress to be included but I guess they have to save some for Injustice 3, which I think will arrive before another MK does
Bring on that complete edition. They look great and the message in the pizza box was a nice touch.
Im actually impressed with injustice 2, I dont recall playing any fighting game this long and not becoming completely bored of it.
@Cassetticons I think its actually the biker mice from mars.
Very nice and unique addition to the already great roster!
@GlynCR Yeah, there are a couple characters that people have been clamouring for / predicting. Many said Beast Boy would be DLC, with each move transforming him into a different animal, but the "green animal-based character" slot seems to be filled with turtles now.
Injustice 2 took a while to arrive, but I doubt Injustice 3 will be a long wait.
This is still better:

well they look a hell of a lot better that this abomination that's for sure
seriously who the hell thought giving this the go ahead was a good idea
Can we get some characters from M.A.S.K. next?
OMG, so awesome! The turtles are faithful and stay true to the original versions .
I may have to buy inJustice 2 when the GOTY/Complete Edition is $20-$30 New.
@FullbringIchigo Hopefully the show itself is alot better than the animation and character designs.
@ToddlerNaruto knowing modern TV trends it will be a load of c*** because the stories will be stupid and nonsensical and all the characters will be one note personalities with little to no substance
@FullbringIchigo Well this is Nickelodeon, not Cartoon Network, so I have faith they'll get the new series done right.
I've never seen a Nick reboot/remake I didn't like.
(Teen Titans Go, Powerpuff 2016, Ben 10 etc are all Cartoon Network)
