Sony casually debuted the first footage of Tennis World Tour at PSX 2017 this weekend, a title which it seems to be taking a lot of interest in. This is alpha footage so it does look pretty rough around the edges, but we can definitely see the Top Spin inspirations in the action, with the animation-heavy movement and the timing-based power gauge.
It looks like the project’s moving in the right direction, but there’s a lot of work to be done. The match simply looks a little slow to us, and the ball isn’t moving with the kind of authenticity we’d expect from a real tennis match. To be fair, the developer’s got until May to polish things up, and we’re sure this is one of those projects that will come together at the last minute.
We’re crossing everything because, as huge tennis fans, we’re desperate for this to be ace.

..I wasn't sure, but this is looking good to me... in fairness, I thought it looked / played well... not too slow for me! (I remember Top Spin being overly fast sometimes!) very interested in this now... it's been too long!
I'm probably one of the few people who's super hyped for this game.
I recently sold my PS4 Pro, so all I have is a PS3 with over 70 games... the only game I play is TopSpin4.
I will purchase a PS4 again once this game comes out.
@fabisputza00 You're definitely not the only one. I love tennis games, and Top Spin 4 is my favourite as well.
As far as tennis licenses goes, will players in the Australian Open Tennis game coming out next month be able to appear in this one?
