Donut County, the latest indie title from Annapurna Interactive, is heading to PlayStation 4 next year. Announced during Sony's PlayStation Presents show at PSX 2017, this unusual game sees you play as a small hole in the universe, with a loose goal of swallowing up all and sundry to grow bigger, though to what end remains a mystery.
The amusing trailer also tells us that dropping certain items into the hole will affect its abilities, the example shown being a kiln setting the hole ablaze. This type of interaction will then lead to puzzle solving scenarios. It appears to have a relaxed vibe and a strange comical sense to it that we're rather taken by. We're just left wondering how deep the experience will be.
What do you guys think of Donut County? Are you excited to play as a literal hole in the ground? Drop into the comments below and let us know.

Played this at this past PAX East, and I was really surprised with just how fun, such a seemingly simple game ended up being. Looking forward to this!
It's games like these that I pay zero attention to, grab one day on a random whim, and then end up absolutely adoring. Thanks to those experiences, I watched the trailer above and now I wanna play this game more than anything.
Aha, that's a good trailer. Could be good fun.
Yeah, the trailer sold me on it too. One to keep an eye on.
