Well this is all happening quite fast, isn't it? Only a week ago, Falcom confirmed that it was porting The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel and The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II to PlayStation 4, and now the first game has a Japanese release date.
The re-release will be titled The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel I: Kai – Thors Military Academy 1204-, which is frankly a pain in the arse to type. It launches in the Land of the Rising Sun on the 8th March, 2018, and it'll feature 4K support. What's more, it'll run at 60 frames per second, and it'll even have a "high-speed skip mode" which allows you to speed up the game both in and out of combat.
There's still been no word on whether these ports will make it West, but we're holding out hope for a complete collection at some point next year.
