Bound PS4 PlayStation 4 1

Well, you can’t say there’s nothing to play this weekend, can you? The release calendar has been absolutely stuffed to the gills with new releases this past month – many of which we’re still aimlessly wrestling PR to get review code for. Sigh. Still, the WAYP party rolls on regardless.

I’m not supposed to be, but I’m playing Assassin’s Creed Origins this weekend to pad out time while I wait for… Other titles to arrive. The good thing is that I’m thoroughly enjoying this game, so I’m certainly not opposed to wasting away my weekend in Egypt.

Yep, I'm still playing Assassin's Creed Origins – a game so massive that there are whole chunks of the map that I haven't properly visited even after spending close to 80 hours with it. Looking back, I never thought I'd enjoy Origins as much as I have. It's right up there with my favourite games of 2017. What a year!

With all the excitement around Assassin’s Creed Origins right now, I’ve decided to go back and play Syndicate instead since I already own it and never actually finished it. But it’s not the only thing I’ll play this weekend: I also have a wonderful little something called Super Mario Odyssey.

With the Sonic Forces review done and dusted, I can now get back to blasting Nazis in Wolfenstein: The New Order. In light of this month's PlayStation Plus offerings, I may also slip on some ballet shoes and pirouette through Bound.

With a double XP weekend going on in Call of Duty: WWII I will be playing mostly that.  However I will also find some time to play Super Mario Odyssey as well as a bit of Super Mario RPG.

That’s what’s keeping us busy this weekend, then – but what about you? Take a break from your extended gaming sessions to share your itinerary in the comments section below.
