Well, we certainly didn't see that coming, did you? Announced during the Tekken World Tour Finals, Noctis from Final Fantasy XV is Tekken 7's second guest character. He'll be released alongside a new stage in spring 2018. The stylish prince certainly gets around, doesn't he?
It goes without saying that his fighting style is something completely different when compared to the rest of Tekken 7's roster. He's got weapons, crazy juggles, and teleporting. You can get a good look at him in the gameplay trailer we've embedded above.
So... Are you happy with Noctis coming to Tekken 7? Give your head a scratch in the comments section below.

Well... Okay then.
Square really wants to broaden out FFXV + Dissidia NT FF.
The prince of pain!
He's sharp erryday!
I just realised, is this some kind of Cup Noodle collaboration conspiracy? The Tekken Tour this year has been sponsored by Cup Noodle... And Final Fantasy XV has a Cup Noodle partnership.
Bloody weird.
still dont understand why people dislike FFXV so much, thought it was an outstanding game..
Never expected Noctis to be in Tekken 7. If only Cloud would've been in Soul Calibur like originally planned.
Now if Tekken 7 could get a discount so I can buy it.
I'm not much of a Final Fantasy guy. So him included in this game is like... Whatever. Always nice to have more characters though.
@RoyalD The majority of people at least liked FFXV. I really liked it. It was flawed, but I really liked it still.
The staff here are just kind of edgy hipsters tbh.
Seriously though I think most of the "hate" is just a gaffe.
@ShogunRok I'm curious as to how you feel about FFXV, Tekken, and Assassin's Creed (sorta) being in the same universe. With Akuma and Geese tossed in as well. My first thought seeing this was, "Wonder how Ramsey's gonna take this?"
@RoyalD It's revisionist history . The PushSquare staff loved it enough at the time to put it 4th in their 2016 GOTY list.

Immediately after release many heralded the game as a return to form, but with everything mainstream there's that vocal minority that thinks they speak for everyone. It has it's problems, but despite its flaws it's a wonderful game.
As for Noctis in Tekken 7...
Wasn't interested in Tekken 7 before. I'm slightly more interested. Good job. Might pick up a complete edition on sale eventually.
Will definitely be getting Geese, this clown I will pass. It's one thing for fighters from fighting games to be added but someone from a totally different genre makes no sense. This is a fighting game not an RPG. What's next Master Chief or Mario??
@RoyalD I loved it, my goty 2016. Yet it had faults, big gaping wounds which had to be plugged.
Much indifference. I guess it could be worse.
Where is Lei though?
I enjoyed FF15 for what it was but it's a 6/10 on a good day, fighting system is fun but the plot is a mess and none of the characters are very interesting.
Also I agree with Tasuki that a RPG character doesn't fit in a fighting game.
@Constable_What But where was the hate? In the whole article above I couldn't find a single line about how ffxv is bad.
@Bingoboyop Notice how I put "hate" in quotes? In other articles they make lighthearted japes about it; It's just a bit of fun. It's because the game had a few flaws that kept it from reaching its true potential, and Square Enix is keen on milking the game in way that no one has seen in a FF game.
You had to have been there that's all I'm saying.
@Constable_What Oops sorry buddy I didn't notice the colons.
@Constable_What Milking? Final Fantasy always has new worlds, stories, characters in there only 10 and 13 had multiple entries. The only thing in DLC now but we have EA and Activision to thank for that. I can only hope that FF7 wont be crap like that and that they will treat it like FF13.
@Flaming_Kaiser The DLC, cross promotions, merchandise, ect. is what I meant. That has never been seen before on a FF game. I'm not talking about any other game besides FF XV. I hope that clears up the confusion!
Also since you bring it up FF XIII was utter schlock. If the FF VII remake is anything like FF XIII I'm sticking my hands in a blender.
@Bingoboyop It's alright! The thing about writing is that people can interpret it in different ways! That's fine with me I enjoy chatting with fellow gamers.
this is probably what Square meant when they said years ago they had to make deals to fund FFXVs production, still it doesn't bother me and i don't understand why it bothers others, it's not like you have to buy it OR even if it was already part of the game even use him
sometimes companies have to make money anyway they can and deal like this mean we actually get the game we wanted
also what is the difference between this and Link in Soul Calibur 2 or TMNT in Injustice 2 or Sonic in Super Smash Bros, i didn't see anyone complaining then but now suddenly because it Square and a FF character it a "marketing ploy" or "milking"
WTF?
Bayonetta would be great for Tekken, make it so!
Seems like a good fit to be honest.
Would have preferred Cait Sith
**** yeaaaaaah.
Looks like a pretty fun character. But hes from FFXV so i guess i better hate him to :/
@Fight_Teza_Fight @Constable_What @DerMeister Daily reminder that Final Fantasy XV was my GOTY 2016!
I really enjoyed playing it, but it's one of those games that's very easy to criticise looking back on it. I know that's not exactly fair, but Square Enix keeps bringing it back up with all these bloody crossovers and expansions.
To be totally honest, though, what annoys me more than anything is the quality of said expansions. Both the Gladio and Prompto episodes are disappointing to varying extents, and I feel like they're both missed opportunities in terms of further character development and other elements.
Having said all that, I'll definitely be giving Noctis a shot in Tekken 7!
@KrazyK85 Watch the language please!
Whoops! Sorry. :x
@Constable_What I agree with the edgy hipster thing for sure. 😂
@Constable_What @JesWood13 Oh god, don't bring up the edgy/edgelord thing again...
@ShogunRok

I bet when Netherealm announced TMNT for Injustice 2 Bandai Namco were like "Well Noctis is going to go down well even more now"
Final Fantasy XV is the king of Crossovers.
they've discovered a new recipe
@ShogunRok It's a good meme on the site. Not to mention the kafkatrap opportunities are plentiful!
Like I'm one to talk, though. I was an edgy hipster way before it was cool...
@Constable_What Push Square, that PlayStation fanboy site with the memes. The editors are edgelords, everyone says "word up son" in the comments, and there's this thing about Splatoon going around...
@ShogunRok Pretty soon I bet Pushsquare will be the meme site with PlayStation Fanboys... 😏
Don't see why Noctis wouldn't fit in the Tekken universe since Tekken has had its fair share of odd characters and weirdly designed ones too. It's nice that Noctis looks exactly like he did in FFXV as well. Looks like Namco just borrowed the FFXV assets from Square Enix.
