Star Wars Battlefront 2's Single Player Certainly Makes for a Great Trailer

I like how they let Dice create Single Player campaign even thought Dice's in most games Single Player portion sucks the chrome of a 57 chevy bumper compared to their Online Part.
But Visceral who can create Amazing Single Player based stories but sucks at making Multiplayer(Hardline) games was shut down.

And I'm here just....wut.

Can I buy just the campaign for half the price? Please...

After having played the Battlefield 1 campaign, although it was short, I am really looking forward to the Battlefront campaign in hopes it will motivate me as much.

well, I never played the first for more than 10 mins because it had no Single Player so happy they changed that for 2.

So the first 'previews' of the campaign are out and the press have played the first three missions. From what I can gather from their impressions, its very much built around the MP. Whether that's a good thing or not, who knows. It uses Star Cards and has 'loot' boxes with collectibles, weapons and other 'star card abilities' that you can change to suit your play style

If they add medals, extras, unlockable art galleries etc in a Rogue Leader style to add replayability I'd buy that for sure at a € 30 price tag.

@Hapuc that's because all EA care about is the money they can make on microtransactions and DLC

they don't give a rats *** about the gamers

i'm getting BF2 at some point to experiance the story BUT it will be a used second hand copy, EA is getting NOTHING from me

Not so different from what you do in Ratchet and Clank... theoretically.
BTW, since the game has no season pass I feel we'll never have the chance to have a SP edition.

@ApostateMage And what I meant from that, is that it appears to be using a lot of the MP engine, assets etc - even down to the star cards, AI and even 'one' of the MP maps which to someone only able to see a video, looked the same as watching a MP video of the Starfighter Assault mode - same targeting icons and HuD inc Star Cards.

If it is only 5-7 hrs long, I really hope its a great story - it is canon after all but whilst it looks great, I was hoping for something more - at least 10-12hrs long. 5hrs is almost blink and you missed it. Its a token effort at best and yes I know BF1 was that long too...

Saw gameplay, it really just looks like you're playing an offline version of their MP modes with bots added in. Absolutely lazy, no thanks.

@andreoni79 @BAMozzy I just want a decent enough story with solid gameplay that doesn't feel tacked on to the multiplayer or to appease those asking for it. I dream of playing a KotOR game looking this good.

I am still amazed there are no SW single player games for this gen. Fans have been dying for something ever since the poor The Force Unleashed 2 back on PS3. I'm sure it's all about licensing, etc. but sheesh... I would think it wold be a goldmine for any developer/publisher. I still remember being Darth Vader in TFU2 tearing through the wookies. So. Much. Fun.

I'd willingly pay for only Story mode at a reduced price. I have no intention of playing multiplayer whatsoever.
