A welcome little surprise that was wheeled out just before Sony's Paris Games Week 2017 press conference yesterday, Konami announced that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain would be getting PS4 Pro patch. The game's about two years old now, but it was part of this month's (October's) PlayStation Plus lineup, so it's probably safe to say that a lot of people have only recently started playing it.
Anyway, the update is available to download now on Sony's system. It promises a higher resolution and a more stable framerate. Cool.

No HDR though
Game already looked amazing, but a welcome update.
nah, the game was a major disappointment so i won't be returning to it
still if you did like it then this is great news
I felt the game already ran awesome, so not sure how much improvement I would see since I don’t have a 4K tv
Still not tried the game but added it to my library as it was free. The Patch itself hasn't enticed me to play it - yet but its still a welcome update. I doubt it can match the PC version - even if they did a 'quality' 1080p mode but the game-play itself just didn't appeal much to me. I guess MGS4 put me off. Will be interesting to see DF compare though...
Still haven't finished it so I will continue with the pro patch huge mgs fan, it's a great game but just doesn't feel like mgs to me not nearly enough awesome cut scenes for my taste but this gives me a reason to finish it
As far as I remember, the game already looked awesome. Framerate was always top-notch, too. So I guess it's something for 4K Tv users, like supersampling or what. Cause the game was already 1080p 60 fps. And it was awesome.
The game already ran 1080p 60fps on the base PS4, which is an achievement in my opinion,I hope the higher resolution is an option and won't effect the framerate.
I won't be returning to MGSV because the huge backlog I have but it is a surprised Konami is still supporting the game
The timing here is perfect! Just was about to start the game, so...
I dont see what all the fuzz is about regarding this game. Boring as hell from the start and not stunning graphics wise either, all this IMO 😛
Does this patch offer the option to turn off camera motion blur and fix the out of focus glitch where when aiming Snake gets all blurry?
It's good but the game already 1080p and 60 fps even on regular ps4.
