Remember when a lot of people got mad over the news that Mass Effect: Andromeda wouldn't be getting any story expansions or downloadable content? Well, we hope that you like reading, because that's the only way you're going to bring one of the game's biggest unsolved storylines to its conclusion.
BioWare has announced that a new Mass Effect novel, titled Mass Effect: Annihilation, will feature the story of the lost Quarian Ark. Said Ark is mentioned numerous times throughout Andromeda's campaign, but it's never actually found, leading many fans to believe that it would feature in a future expansion. Obviously, that never happened.
The novel's being written by Hugo Award-winning author Catherynne M. Valente, and it releases on the 26th June, 2018 in North America, Canada, and the UK. Australia gets it on the 28th August, 2018.
Hopefully it's a good read, but still, it's a bit of a shame that this important part of the overall plot was left out of the game itself.

I don't read book. Cheers, Bioware.
Despite Andromeda's mediocrity, I would have been happy with some story DLC. With all of it's flaws, I still think Andromeda has the best combat the series has offered so far, and some action heavy DLC that focused on the missing Ark would have been cool.
@johncalmc I used to be a super avid book reader when I was younger, but I just don't have the time for reading anymore sadly.
I think this is pretty good tbh. Clearly EA aren't going to push anything with Andromeda attached to it and there is nothing more frustrating than a cancelled or shelved story. At least those who want it can have it.
Funny I'm playing Andromeda right now. I'd love to get into the books. I have to finish reading Game of Thrones first. Barely on book 4. I Am waiting to buy witcher 3 complete so I can immerse myself in the fantasy setting. Nerd skill +20
I've read Ascension and Revelation by Drew Karpyshyn and they were pretty good reads. Both were set before ME1, though, and featured David 'punch Udina in the face' Anderson.
