Capcom has announced that it'll be updating the Xbox One and PC versions of Dead Rising 4 on the 5th December, a date that also marks the game's release on PlayStation 4. As such, the various improvements that the developer is making will be there at launch on Sony's console.
Apparently, Capcom's looking to incorporate "fan requested" improvements across the board. According to an official post, these improvements will include "improved controller responsiveness, faster attack speed, faster zombie horde awareness, more aggressive pursuit, rebalanced weapon distribution, improved zombie AI, mission tuning and more". It's also getting a new mode titled 'Capcom Heroes'.
Dead Rising 4 was met with a lukewarm reception when it launched last year, so here's hoping that these alterations help transform it into a better game overall.

I never like any off these games and i never will. Dont like the humor dont like Frank West sorry guys no sale.
Frank West was good in the first Xbox 360 one, I thought.
I feel like Frank West changed with the voice actor (and in his looks right?). Dead Rising 4 was definitely the worst of the series but a few small improvements are always welcome.
@get2sammyb Was it more serious at the start of the series?
@Flaming_Kaiser It was tongue-in cheek serious to start with. Bloated personalities, psychopaths everywhere, and one liners from Frank. It's serious like Resident Evil 4 is serious.
The first game was brilliant. Just the right mix of humor & darkness, with some interesting game mechanics & tons of unlocks. Its been in rapid decline since then IMO.
Spitshining a turd, fellas and ladies, spitshing a turd.
@Flaming_Kaiser It played it more straight. When Capcom Vancouver got the series from the sequel onwards it became more keeeeer-aaaaazzzy
How about adding alternate endings instead of just 2 that are barely rewarding?
You can't polish a turd.
"Improved Zombie AI"
There's your oxymoron for the day.
Eh, I'll buy it. The only Dead Rising game I hated was the second game. Off the Record at least improved on it a little bit.
I'm glad the original was re-released on PS4. I had a lot of fun memories playing it on the original 360 back in the day.
@Deadlyblack I'm still crazily waiting for Dead Rising 3 to be ported over.
I know the original release never will, but there's a chance the Apocalypse Edition could since it is also on PC.
@ToddlerNaruto Same. I had tons of fun playing it on PC a few years back.
@Deadlyblack I honestly have never played a Dead Rising game before. I plan to eventually now that most of the series is on PS4 though.
I am so looking forward to finally owning a PS4 this Black Friday.
