One of Gamescom 2017’s secrets has already leaked in the form of THQ Nordic’s new – wait for it – post-apocalyptic open world kung-fu action role-playing game. The title’s called Biomutant, and features a weird wombat type animal armed with a bloody Buster Sword, because – well, why the hell not, eh?

According to a leaked image from a German magazine, the title will launch early next year on the PlayStation 4, and we’re almost certain to see a lot more of it next week. A bit of sleuthing reveals that the game’s being developed by a new Swedish team named X101, which is headed by former Just Cause creative director Stefan Ljungqvist.
We’ll, of course, bring you all of the news from Gamescom 2017 next week, so make sure you’re keeping a close eye on the site if you want to know more about this one.
