This and Spiderman impressed me the most in the graphics department.

Don't get me wrong. This looks very nice. However, if nice looking things are what I was buying I'd buy wall art.

What I want is a good game. A strong interactive experience. God of War 5, is the same game as 4, 3, 2 and 1 and truth be told this franchise topped out with 2 which was brilliant. Then Santa Monica filed to do anything new for the next 3 games.

These companies keep doing this, Assassins Creed is another good example. 2 was phenomenal... then it all got very VERY boring.

Stop developing [enter stale franchise title here] 5, 9 and 16!!! Stop doing remakes!!!! Stop hiring 3D artists and start hiring developers and designers!!!!

Start making GAMES again and stop making moving pretty pictures.

@DESS-M-8 this game is nothing like the previous ones what have you been watching. Everything from the time period to the camera angle,combat,main weapon,a.i. partner,kratos being more human like etc.

This is the same game as the previous games. Not interesting at all. The only PS4 game that looked interesting is the EA prison break game.

@dark_knightmare2 not hating on it without grounds. It's just typical of Sony software library. Quickly getting bored of PS4 and the utter lack of originality and creativity, just an obsession with forcing marketing and graphics down people's throats and thinking that's acceptable for a video game these days.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not needlessly hating on Sony. I played PS3 though it's whole lifespan, I have 2 PS4s in my house that are played daily. I'm just bored to hell of the zero range of quality titles on PS4 and total lack of originality, sequels for the sake of sequels that are into the 10th and 20th itteration cause they really have no creativity to deliver a good interactive experience, just the same old tired formula hidden behind modern graphics.

PS4 is the worst platform Sony have done yet and is essentially a graphical upgrade of the PS£, which was their best hardware. They really should have looked at delivering something more like the Switch this gen and invested more in first party software R&D for new and creative games.

@dark_knightmare2 horizon isn't won anything. Uncharted 4 was a good game but was the same as 3, 2 and 1 where 2 was the best in the series and bloodborne won game of the year in the category of "PLAYSTATION game of the year" so something on PS4 has to win. Just so happened that the year, the best PS4 had to offer, for that particular awarding body, was bloodborne.

Any other amazing genre defining and highly creative games??

@DESS-M-8 lol dude horizon is def going to win some goty awards,regardless of your minority opinion of Uc 4 it won the most goty awards last year and bloodborne didn't just win best PS4 game it won quite a few goty awards from major places like eurogamer,destructoid,edge magazine and this very site gave it goty. Sony has released the most critically acclaimed and highest scoring games in the last twenty years according to metacritics study and have a legitimate shot at goty almost every year and that's something special. Lbp was extremely creative and innovative,puppeteer was creative and dreams looks super creative and innovative

Awards based on sales figures and marketing all based on selling graphics.

Some great games have been released on PS4, don't get me wrong, I have played playstation for 20 years. But that 20 years experience of playing playstation is showing more and more that the actual content of their video games is declining and getting more repetitive whilst the focus on pushing how "lush" the graphics
engines are, has become the stronger and stronger focus.

Don't get me wrong, there are some great games on PS4. But every year is notably worse on quality and better on graphics and it's sad.

Zero originality on PS4 whatsoever.

We'l be party to Final Fantasy 20, God of War 8, Uncharted 7, Tekken 12, FIFA blah blah blah before we see an original and inspired game on PS4.

So are clever, they have found a huge niche in the people that love the Fast and Furious films and they LOVE their graphics in games, so no need for originality if you wanna make some cash. It's just sad for the video games industry as a whole

god of war scored 95 on metacritic with many more exclusives that have come out, and many, many more to come. Have fun with sea of thieves lololol
