Before the Storm, as announced overnight, is a new three-part episodic prequel depicting the unexpected relationship between teenage tearaway Chloe Price and Blackwell Academy’s brightest student, Rachel Amber. Of course, those of you who’ve played the first season will know how this particular story ends.
But over the course of this mini-series, Deck Nine Games aims to explore the fledgling friendship that will go on to influence the events of the main game. The first episode will arrive on 31st August, and we absolutely can’t wait.

I downloaded Life is Strange, but for reason I severely lack the motivation to start it up... Maybe someday? Probably not...
@Constable_What You really should. Guarantee you'll be hooked by the end of Episode 2.
@get2sammyb I don't know about that. I did contemplate playing it to try and get the worst possible things to happen to everyone in the game. All of the characters from what I have seen are incredibly grating and stupid, but the setting and situation looks pretty good.
I think the big thing is that I already know what happens at the end and the way that it is presented to the player is everything I hate about choice in video games.
I'll see for myself.
@Constable_What The characters really grow on you. Well, they did me, and judging by how popular it is I imagine I'm not alone.
@get2sammyb I'm a bit of a contrarian to be honest and don't really trust anyone's opinions or perceptions, I mean it isn't hard to pander to theblowest common denominator. I'm starting it now though, it's free and a lot of people love it, so I'll give it a fair shot. If it doesn't grab me by episode two like you said I guess the game just isn't for me.
Just finished Life is Strange on PS3. Ready to give it another go since it's free on PS4. It's one of the greatest stories presentation-wise and plot-wise I've ever witnessed in a game.
I preordered it via psn. There are to versions a standard 17 euros and a complete 25 euros one that has an extra episode and some other useless stuff.
@get2sammyb Do we have a confirmed retail version for this prequel?
According to the bullet points in the PS store description, you can go around tagging and throwing up (Not being sick) and dress Chloe yourself in which she'll receive comments on her style from the npcs around town.
Guess we will play as Chloe, kinda sad we won't see Max.
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi I finished the first episode and I like it so far. It's been out for so long that the ending was spoiled for me. I know the ending is bad, but I think I may enjoy the journey up until there.
It isn't bad so far.
