Final Fantasy XV: Episode Prompto doesn't have a big official gameplay trailer or anything just yet, but what it does have is the video that we've embedded above. It's an interview with guest composer Naoshi Mizuta, who's responsible for the soundtrack of the upcoming add-on.
Brief gameplay clips are spread throughout, and to us, it looks like this slice of downloadable content is going to lean heavily on third person shooting mechanics. We guess that makes some sense since Prompto uses guns in battle, but we wonder how well it's actually going to work.

Makes sense to me plus it gives a variety in gameplay
i can see now why they wasn't included with the main game at launch because they seem to be using new mechanics in all these Episodes
Is Squenix anywhere at E3? DQXI on PS4, 3DS and Switch, KH3, FF7R, not only Prompto in FFXV but we're still waiting on recipe boys cooking episode as well.
E3 w/o Squenix feels kinda empty. I don't admire them like I did in their Squaresoft days but it's still Squenix, they make a lot of games. Just takes freakin' forever.
DIRGE OF CERBERUS REMAKE CONFIRMED
Mizuta seems so proud of his work haha. Dirge of Cerberus vibes from the few gameplay scenes.
@rjejr they have a 3 days stream program.
@rjejr They've got Dissidia and Life Is Strange. Probably some other stuff I'm forgetting, too.
@get2sammyb Never in a million years would I have guessed Squenix for Life is Strange. Simply forgot about Dissidia though I do recall you covering it recently.
Hard to compare those 2 to anything DQ, KH or FF though you gotta admit. You're feelings for LiS aside. I played it for an hour, and I can see how good it is, but I'm not in the mood for decision making, just button mashing.
@Feena Oh thanks. Googled it, got it. I'm still unimpressed.
@rjejr No you're right, definitely not the "traditional" Square Enix stuff this year.
@get2sammyb I hope you'll remember me fondly when the final installment of FF7R releases on PS7 long after I'm gone.
@rjejr I'll put a copy on your grave.
The music that plays during the interview kind of reminds me of a track in Nier: Automata's soundtrack. It's called "Voice of No Return". The Japanese Square Enix games have some of the best scores in video games today.
@get2sammyb Thanks, appreciate it.
