We don’t know who the heck Zico is, but we do know he has God-like reflexes. The bane of every WipEout player’s life has returned with not one but two Trophies in the upcoming WipEout Omega Collection. Spare a thought for all of those DualShock 4s that will be thrown to the floor and promptly stamped to smithereens in frustration.
The trinkets span both WipEout HD and WipEout 2048: “Equal or beat the lap time of 32.5 seconds on Downtown circuit, Speed Lap, A class, using the Feisar Speed ship” and “Equal or beat the lap time of 30.82 seconds on Anulpha Pass (Forward), Speed Lap, Venom, using the Piranha”. We feel like crying.
To be honest, the entire set is rock hard: you’ll need to reach Zone 65 in any eye melting zone event and obtain a gold medal in every cell on Elite difficulty. Of course the game promises to be a fantastic time sink so you’ll want to invest the time and effort into unlocking these; good luck actually getting them, though!

How many years must you torment me Zico
Wow that's pretty hardcore!
Loved the reference to Hokuto no Ken hahaha
Thought it was a new Fist of the North Star game at first. Lol
There's no way I'll plat this so I won't even try.Just going to enjoy the game
I already admit defeat for the Wipeout platinum. Beat the entire campaign with gold medals on Elite difficulty? Get first on all tracks in Phantom class on Elite difficulty? I'd have better luck winning EVO.
Has that guy got healed over bullet holes in his chest?!!!!
So this is a tougher Plat than coffin dodgers then?
I'm probably not going to platinum this game.
@nathanSF
That's not just some guy, that's Kenshiro, the man with seven scars!! Do yourself a favour and seek out the original Fist of the North Star (in particular the English dub version, the first 12 episodes of which have the most badass soundtrack by Reinforced Records). You won't regret it!
YYYYYYYYYYYYATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATAAAAAA TA TAAAAAAAAAA.
HEAD ESSPLODES
God I love Fist of the North Star.
@nathanSF Yep. They're in the form of a constellation. They're not bullet wounds though. He was just violently poked by a man with nice hair.
@Bliquid
Come on now, it's a 1980's anime where only half the run was dubbed into English, if that's the case you must find yourself shocked on a fair regular basis....Shocked like you've just received a DEADLY FIST OF LINGERING REGRET.
The completionist in me is in so much pain ;_;
@Bliquid @RPE83 in continental Europe the anime was really a 80's/90's local tv staple. You will have a hard time finding a French/Italian/Spanish guy who doesn't know Hokuto no Ken.
@Feena Aha, that explains it. I think it was a niche thing here and got shown once on Channel 4/5 really late at night , I remember thinking it was brilliant and getting the bus to spend all my paper round money on the VHS from Forbidden Planet. Good memories
@Bliquid Bloody hell, guys, alright already. I only have so much time for stuff other than writing.
oh and btw, it's not on netflix, just checked.
@nathanSF Repent, repent!!
@PaperyWhiteBoy Que?
@nathanSF Hah. Nothing, man, just being ridiculous, demanding you right the error of your non-FOTNS watching ways like some anime zealot Pay no attention, it's a slow day at work!
@PaperyWhiteBoy. Excellent!
@Bliquid AND THEY LOOKED INCREDIBLE. Those shoulder pads as well, that guy looked sharp.
@nathanSF it's on youtube. Whole movie and a few episodes.
@THRILLHOU
Thanks. I'll check it out now.
