Generally considered the best MMO on PlayStation 4, Final Fantasy XIV Online: A Realm Reborn provides a near endless supply of adventure - for a price. For those who don't know, A Realm Reborn makes use of a subscription model, so naturally, Square Enix is always trying to bolster the game's user base by hooking new players.
Previously, you could give the title a shot over the course of a 14 day trial, but starting today, those who want to sample the game won't have to worry about time limits. Indeed, you can now download the free trial and play to your heart's content - all the way up to level 35. Even lapsed players will be able to jump back in if they wish. Not bad, eh?

this is great news BUT one thing they never said, can we carry on playing when we get to level 35 or does it just stop?
@FullbringIchigo You can continue playing, but there won't be much content to do at that level (other than level up other jobs/classes).
Also, once you become a paying subscriber, you cannot go back to the trial even if you don't get past level 35.
@NathanUC that's fine even if i can't do the full quest i can still play the game
at least until a point when i can afford to pay the monthly subscription
So we can switch classes and jobs and level each one to 35???
Here's a list of some of the restrictions: http://support.na.square-enix.com/rule.php?id=5382&tag=freetrial
I tried it for a month, it's not Ultima Online, so I won't be trying it again. Oh UO what fun we had..
Dang. I wish this game didn't give me acid flashbacks. I made it 20min into the intro then spent 3 hours reminding myself I was a human.
The game itself looks solid, but something about the art and atmosphere of FF does something to me. Sucks for me. shrug
Are you able to earn trophies this way? If so, does anyone know how many trophies would be unattainable with the level 35 cap?
Oh wow...you can't join a Free Company or use the market boards. That sucks.
Anyone know how far this will get me plot wise? Also how long to get there in hours roughly?
NICE!
Ah gutted my Baird was a higher level than that . I couldn't justify the cost or the amount of time spent on the game once i got married.
Never played an MMO. Only online game I've ever played is Splatoon. I am a big FFXV fan, well at least I was back when the games were good, so I suppose for free I should give it a shot just to see what it is.

The time limit put me off as much as the subscription does - don't get me wrong, it's fair in general, but with extra traffic expenses and mobile data signal fluctuations, I can't be confident enough if I'll harvest the money sown into such an MMORPG every month or not. This offer allows to at least try the game in a relatively casual manner, so I'm definitely in!
Oh yeah, sign me up baby! Seems like an actually decent level-cap, too!

well i was going to give it a ago but i can't because of Square Enix's STUPID way of doing things
apparently my PSN account is permanently linked to a SEID i used years ago, one that i no longer have access to nor can i reset the password (trust me i tried so many times the account was temporally shut down)
why can't Square ever do anything easy JUST LET US USE WHATEVER SEID WE WANT TO and let us change it if we want or hell let us disconnect it ourselves from our PS4 settings menu or something
