Activision has announced that the only piece of DLC that Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare received, the Variety Map Pack, is making its way to the remastered version on 21st March.
The map pack includes: Killhouse, Broadcast, Creek, and Chinatown, and comes in at a price of $14.99. Purchasing the map pack will also net you an extra 10 rare supply drops.
While this addition is of course a positive, fans have been upset with the actions of Raven Software as of late as they add more to the remaster that wasn't present in the original version. New weapons, new kits, melee weapons, and supply drops have all found their way into the game over the past few months. While extra content could be seen as a good thing, it's easy to see why people no longer see this as a remaster of Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.
Remember you can still only access Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered through a purchase of the special edition of Call Of Duty: Infinite Warfare. When will the publisher sell this game standalone you ask? We're surprised it hasn't already happened.

Pay for it? LOL no thanks...wtf, like 80 euros wasn't enough for it
One of the few CoDs I liked, but not nearly enough to buy a game I will never play, at double its asking price, to then have to pay more and not a small sum, for a small amount of extra content.
Im surprised they havent released this as an episodic thing with each one costing the full asking price.
The sooner people wise up to this rubbish, the better.
Way back when Bobby Kotick openly said he doesnt care if the games are good, as long as they can milk the franchise.
Red flags right there.
@ToOGoodOfAPlaya but Call Of Duty 4 is a good game - it's an amazing game- and the remaster on the campaign was excellent & the MP is a great as ever, that said I didn't like the maps in this pack back on PS3 (had the GOTY edition) so I won't be spending my money on it.
still shocks me that it's not standalone tbh I said at the time of getting it I reckon it'll be out on its own around march/April time so I expect an announcement anytime soon tbh.
@GlynCR I dont disagree on the quality of CoD4, and seeing the comparison screens, the team really made it work, looks like they took alot of pride in it.
I meant I will never ever play Infinite Warfare, I wont buy that just to play MW, for double the cost.
Im not knocking anybodies choice, if they are happy to pay said costs and will play both games thats great, then its just that, two games.
I however only want one of the two, and wont buy both just for one.
But thats not enough for me sadly.
I dont like feeling ripped off, and not just monetarily, I was appalled at the quality of MW3, and how little effort was put into its campaign and same same Multiplayer.
That to me is unacceptable, the consumer should take priority, but because many people blindly buy it year in, year out, it continues.
And its not unique to Call of Duty either.
Remember Sony at the launch of he PS3?
They charged £700 or so for a PS3, openly saying "because people will pay", and they did.
Wow, stuff that should have been included in a game that was only available if you brought another game. Thnx Activision.
@ToOGoodOfAPlaya I paid £65 for COD and I haven't (& wont) play IW I've had a month solid of the single player campaign & over 2 days only so it's been worth it for me but I get why so many don't wanna jump on it cos they don't wanna play IW it's completely understandable tbf
Paying for dlc for a remaster the fudge?
Disgusting, and they even have the never to charge more than when the variety pack first released.
Remastered DLC! XD this has come full circle.
