The Tales games have always prided themselves on their combat systems. Typically fast and flashy, the series is sometimes just as much about action as it is role-playing, and that's very likely going to be the case with Tales of Berseria, which is launching on PlayStation 4 near the end of the month.
With a playable demo now available to download on the PlayStation Store, we thought we'd capture a few minutes of footage in order to show off our incredibly rusty skills. The game features a combo system that allows you to piece together techniques into separate combo strings, which can then be interchanged by pressing different face buttons during battle. It seems like a pretty neat system, and should hopefully add some nice depth to the process of customising how your favourite characters fight.
Will you be grabbing Berseria later this month? Never stop juggling in the comments section below.

I am tempted...demo isn't to bad! but I still have to play the last guardian ;_; choices choices
I've been "about to try it" for about 7 hours now but I've only just stopped playing FFXV for the day.
@Feena My backlog is starting to look like a chore lol. So many games it's insane.
oh demo is out, great gonna have to download this and see what it's like, i just hope it's better than Zesteria, what a disappointment that was
Game looks great. Really enjoyed both modes of the demo. Got my special edition preordered. Hope im done with FF 15 by the 24th. Probably not though.
Well a bit late, but just for the record, I played the story part of the demo. I enjoyed it even though I don't think it's a great idea to set the demo at a part of the game when you have a large party of characters you don't know at all. Plus, in the middle of events that make no sense.
That said, the combat is pretty different and interesting. I don't think I fully grasped it but it seems like there aren't spells anymore like their used to be, it's more like you just have a super move that's the equivalent of a spell. The areas weren't as open as Zestiria's but at least they weren't just little boxy rooms like in Xillia. There were some nice skits and I liked the ability to trigger conversations (not skits) based on environmental things.
