While most of the games patched for the PlayStation 4 Pro focus on offering better resolutions, inFAMOUS: Second Son is one such title that lets you toggle between image quality and framerate. In this video, we show how Sucker Punch's popular PS4 exclusive is able to run at a near-locked 60 frames-per-second on Sony's supercharged hardware, resulting in uber-smooth gameplay.

Nice! I don't have 4k tv so framerate boost is more important to me.
@wiiware Silky smooth on PS4 Pro. Really nice.
I have a 4K TV but it looks better with the higher framerate on the video, I'll find out for certain on Thursday
Does this apply to First Light as well?
I reloaded this game yesterday to test the HDR support on a regular PS4.
The colors did look nice, but it was somewhat subtle compared to an older TV.
Not 100% sure it's actually doing anything different...could be newer TV is just better.
Do you guys think in-game HDR for all PS4s would be part of the SS Pro patch?
Framerate definitely looks like the better option for this
Already have the plat. However, they gave away First Light on PS+ right after I finished SS, and I didn't feel like playing it back then. If I get the PS4 Pro and FL gets an update I might try it out, I loved the gameplay.
I wish more console developers would include these options. I'll take smoother gameplay over slight visual enhancements any day of the week.
@GamerDad66 I played the first 20 minutes or so again firstly on my 1080p set and then took it over to my parents to play on their Samsung KS8000. The difference was pretty staggering. Really beautiful reflections of light in puddles and night really feels like night. I spent ages on the HDR set just flicking through the time of day at different locations on the map. Although it was just upscaled 1080p, it at least sold me on the HDR aspect.
On another note, my OG PS4 plugged into a 4K HDR, gave me the option to chooses 30fps or uncapped on Second Son. Don't know if that was always an option but it seemed to run pretty smoothly on uncapped, definitely in the 60fps region.
@Boomtown_Raider it runs around 40fps on the OG ps4 if u uncap it
@SKC_Diamond Thanks for that, it wasn't holding a high frame rate all the time but was surprised that uncapped was even an option.
Hmmm, I wonder what Sucker Punch is up to these days...
