Goodbye, cruel world

The majority of Push Square Towers will be avoiding the real-world this weekend, as we strap ourselves into Sony's virtual reality world via PlayStation VR. With such a gigantic launch offering, there are tons of titles for us to work our way through, so it's goodbye sunlight from us.

I'm playing Ace Banana because someone has to. FML.

Virtual reality has my full attention this weekend. Even if I had time for other games, I don't know that I'd actually want to. With my review for Thumper out of the door, I'll start giving my attention to some of the other VR titles I picked up, namely Here They Lie and The Assembly. I haven't had it for long yet, but I'm definitely loving Sony's new headset.

I haven't really had a lot of spare time to myself over the last few weekends and that looks set to continue. I've had to resort to a few rounds of Hearthstone between work and life, and I'll probably do that again this weekend.

I utterly decimated my financial stability by getting a PlayStation VR! I'll be taking a look at all the demos and some games like Thumper, Batman VR, and Battlezone to get a feel for how well the headset holds up. While there's some blurriness, an obvious screen door effect, and graphics that are really underwhelming for some titles, the overall quality and performance of the device goes above my expectations – especially considering the relatively low price point.

Not a lot of gaming for me this weekend, though I will be playing a little more Mantis Burn Racing before I pen my review. I may try and also squeeze in some time to play Rocket League, because Rocket League.

This weekend it will be FPS madness with the likes of Overwatch and the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Beta for me.
