While it's probably safe to say that the upcoming Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered has far more fanfare surrounding it than Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, there has been an air of disappointment surrounding the remaster due to it only including ten of the original multiplayer maps. However, this has now been rectified as Activision took to the stage at the Call of Duty XP fan event and announced that all sixteen maps will eventually be playable.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will still ship on 4th November with the set of ten maps already announced, but players will get free access to the remaining six through an update in December. As well as that, Activision also showed off the first multiplayer footage of the remaster, and you can check that out below.

Let's do this.
Fantastic News!!! I cant wait for all of these but still not gonna fork out for IW. Sooner or later the remaster will be a release on it's own. I'll wait for that to happen then will buy it and anything else they release for it. COD4MW was the be all and end all of COD's imho.
I do not remember any map in particular but this along with MW2 were my favourite COD games. The only reason I am buying Infinate warfare is to get this game. Will play the campaign on Infinate and then sell it. Bring on Modernwarfare can not wait.
Never played Modern Warfare so I originally saw the remastered version as a neat little bonus to Infinite Warfare. But after seeing this trailer, not only am I hyped for Infinite Warfare, but I'm now hyped for Modern Warfare as well! Both games look amazing! And that $100 deluxe edition is such an amazing value in my opinion. A $60 Infinite Warfare game + a $50 season pass (I think this is the price) alone is worth those $100 but we also get Modern Warfare + Zombies mode as well!
Have yet to be disappointed with a COD game. I've enjoyed every COD game since the first one I played (Black Ops), and that includes Ghosts. Ghosts is actually my 4th favorite COD game. Don't really understand the hate for it, but it's fine. Everyone has their own interests. Anyways, super hyped for Infinite Warfare deluxe edition!
All 16 original maps. Still missing China Town, Broadcast, Creek and Killhouse from the DLC.
Which is shame as they are really good maps too. Happy that Shipment is back though!
I'm very excited about this game, but if they announce a remaster of COD:MW2 next year I might become a hermit. That's my favorite shooter ever.
Please dont be poop. Pleeassseeeeee
Whist its great to get the 'remaining' 6 maps, I really hope they bring the final 4 DLC maps to the game too. Creek was a favourite of mine and I really think that would look great remastered. Broadcast and Chinatown should also look good - Killhouse though fun to play was quite basic...
yeah i really really want this!!!
@TomKongPhooey I highly doubt it, this is Activision we are talking about. You might get lucky and maybe find someone selling just the code on ebay or Craigslist.
I'll wait for the inevitable physical release after all maps have been released and the initial sales die down.
It's $80 to get this game, and it's digital. Just not worth it unless you were already gonna drop $60 on Infinite Warfare.
Really enjoyed the older call of Dutys!
But after buying the last few I can't justify buying cod just for mw, I hate jet packs and all that futuristic jazz
@Tasuki I can't see them losing out on the chance of a double pay day. Once the IW thing has run it's course I can see them releasing the remaster on it's own. It's not to say with a few more vid's of the remaster that I'll not fold into a drooling heap and pay for the minimum package that gets me the remaster as MW was my be all and end all for COD but I just don't like the look of IW at all.
@TomKongPhooey Still not sure they have already gone on record saying that it won't ever be sold seperate, so imagine the backlash they will get if that was to happen.
You could also just buy the deluxe edition on day 1 download MWRM and then trade in IW. I am sure alot of people will be doing that.
@Cowboysfan-22 I know MW2 was the bomb I played 5 hours a day every day for a year never got bored
So tempted.
But all of my friends play on PC couldn't buy CoD4R and trade it back in like you lucky folk. :/ Otherwise I'd be alone.
@SecondServing time for some new friends.
Just a heads up if you are pre-ordering the edition with COD and Infinate Warfare. Not all retailers are offering the 30 day early access to the campaign for COD4 so just check before you order.
@TomKongPhooey I want to do that as well but I wouldn't be able to control myself knowing that COD4MW remaster was out and I have to wait until they decide to release it as a stand alone. This time Activision gets my money...My flesh is weak.
@get2sammyb What do you think the odds of Modern Warfare Remaster getting a standalone release are?
