Despite looking like a disaster prior to release, Hitman's episodic model has actually worked out swimmingly. Regular updates from developer IO Interactive, alongside frequent "live" missions, has meant that the game has remained fresh for longer than it would have as a boxed title – and the studio's still not done with this season yet.
But once Bangkok, the US, and Japan are deployed, is that it for Agent 47? Apparently not, as the official Hitman Twitter account has teased that there may be three full seasons for the title planned – even though the second is yet to be revealed. If true, there could be many, many more months of murderous goings-on for you to look forward to.

Ive been holding off buying this for the episode reason. I like to play all the way through a game but have been tempted few times recently to get this. Would people recommend to get it now or should i wait for more releases ?
@B-I-G-DEVIL Yeah, i'm quite tempted to get this actually, next time it's on a PSN sale. It looks as though they will always be supporting the game rather than releasing a complete version. In my opinion, it would be worth paying to play this, but it is really up to you whether you would be comfortable to buy this game or not though.
I'm freaken glad I bought this episodic it's quite fun especially the elusives 💥💥💥🔫
@B-I-G-DEVIL I'd recommend it at this point. I was really put off at first with the episodes, but they're actually a lot of fun especially if you like multiple play thrus. And now theres more available so you have some variety
@B-I-G-DEVIL Initially i wasn't a fan of the episodic release but you start to appreciate it more once you get to know the levels inside out with plenty of challenges to keep you busy. It also gives me time to play other games in between so the game still feels fresh once the next episodes comes out. Defiantly worth the purchase.
@B-I-G-DEVIL - I'm not so sure.....
Hitman 2: Silent Assassin is still for me the best, NOT contracts, which bizarrely a lot of reviewers are still claiming was the high point.
Why is current Hitman not as good? Too easy to just run through the levels and do the mission....the gunplay has gone backwards; Silent Assassin was more visceral and the current title is too basic and unwieldy in comparison - and the levels themselves aren't really that great once you've completed them.
So whilst it's good, they've made it too easy, unbalanced it with ham-fisted gunplay and left it almost 3 months without a new level.....
@SPGFan34 They still plan on releasing a physical retail version with all of the episodes.
@ToddlerNaruto Thanks for the correction, I think they will update the game consistently for its lifespan though.
@SPGFan34 Well yeah, as DLC updates most likely.
@ToddlerNaruto Yeah!
Can't wait for season two 😁
