Mounting evidence is always a good sign that a rumour's going to turn out to be true, so fans of Skyrim should be rubbing their hands together in anticipation right now. As spotted by NeoGAF, online retailer Base currently has The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - The Definitive Edition up for pre-order. According to the site, it'll be released on the 23rd November.
In case you missed the news yesterday, rumours regarding the supposed current-gen remaster exploded, with sources claiming that the re-release is going to be shown during Bethesda's E3 2016 press conference. It'll apparently include all of the game's downloadable content, as well as mod support - something that's coming to the PlayStation 4 version of Fallout 4 later this month.
Is this a remaster that you'd be interested in? Do you think that it's going to appear at E3 in less than a week? Absorb the souls of your enemies in the comments section below.

ah the "Fingers Crossed It'll Be Released Working" edition. Glad to see it's finally out of beta testing on PlayStation anyway.
Never got past the first few hours as wasn't a big gamer at the time so I'll probably pick it up...not for £40 though?!
Sounds cool, lets just hope it works:P
I wonder if it will include dragons that can fly backwards and sheep that can breathe underwater this time
This could possibly now add mods to the game now that fallout 4 has done it. Would love to give the thomas the tank engine mod a whirl:

Tbh however, final fantasy 12 aside, i think i am done with remasters this gen. Still have most of these games on my ps3 so dont see much reason to upgrade.
Bring on the jankiness!
Hmmmm! Not sure I want this tbh!! Would prefer a new one
Yesss! Played alot of Oblivion on my 360 but never got into this properly due to not really bothering with my 360 so if it looks smooth and runs well I'll pick it up even though I have the legendary edition still... Will most likely get my moneys worth with mods on top.
Would buy. I put well over 100 hours in to it on PS3 and would have been more had the game not started freezing every time I tried to play it.
I'm definitely getting this. Loved it on my 360 and I know that Bethesda isn't going to put out a new ES any time soon since Fallout 4 released not too long ago. And, as I mentioned before, this will ease the pain of Horizon: Zero Dawn being delayed.
A long while to wait but gives me a chance to start and finish Witcher 3 before I get this day one as its still the best RPG I have played. So much to love about the game.
You've got 400 hours of my life already, Skyrim. Enough is enough!
I was a big maybe until the mod support. I will probably give this a go if the right mods are included.
I'm in. I know there are people hating on this. I'm immune to your negativity on this. Skyrim is one of my absolute favorite games, and that was on the janky PS3 version. I ended up forgiving it for being a relative steamy pile of bugs because I loved the game that much.
The thought of playing a more solid, graphically superior version of the game is too appealing to not preorder it the day I'm able to. Esp as now that FO4 has mods on consoles that opens the doors to mods for this. I'm all in on this.
@glassmusic I would even be into this just to play it on the PS4 controller. I didn't mind the PS3 controller back in the day, but now, it's so hard to even go back and play those old games.
@topic I didn't think of this before. Since the PS4 has voice command options, do you think the "shout" kinect options will be implemented on the PS4?
Sign me up buttercup 😎
Its £49.99 at base with promo code its £39.99
Skyrim is a game i passed on because of the reported poor to unplayable performance on the PS3. I did a short rental after the first 2 patches, found poor frame rates, and waited for patching that never fixed it enough for me to play it more.
So yes a remastered Skyrim+dlc bundle for PS4 is great news. After reviews and patching and if it is reported as working properly on the PS4 i certainly will purchase it.
7th Generation
New games are announced for the new consoles
8th Generation
Obligatory 7th gen remake gets announced for the new consoles. Only after that is a new entry announced.
I'm really looking forward to some skyrim remote play on my vita. ☺️
I love ES but outside of a new game, the only reason Id buy this is:
1) If it were less than full price at launch.
2) Not a usual buggy Bethesda Mess
3) Allowed for modding at the same time as F4.
Yep, I will get this if it runs ok. I played it on the 360. It was a great game. I enjoyed oblivion more though. Its a shame that they couldn't do a collection of morrowind, oblivion and skyrim, now that would be special.
