Gosh darn it. Over the past few months, Koei Tecmo has been dropping hints that a big Dynasty Warriors announcement is incoming at some point this year - with most fans speculating that Dynasty Warriors 9 is in the works. However, we're yet to hear anything concrete on the matter.
E3 2016, then, seems like a fitting stage for a potential reveal, but the Japanese publisher has confirmed that the property sadly won't be making an appearance. "No Dynasty Warriors for this #E32016. Sorry!" the company's official European Twitter account states.
So, the wait continues for the inevitable Dynasty Warriors 9 announcement, but when could it realistically be happening? This year's Tokyo Game Show may end up being the safest bet at this rate, but we'll let you know as soon as the bomb drops either way.

It's a shame, I love DW, that said, Samurai Warriors is much better to me, and the last entry was specially good.

@Flaming_Kaiser oh my...Warriors Orochi...I have one for Wii U I think...how long ahahah I did not even remember! And while I think they need to update models and moves with a ney Dynasty games (for dynasty warriors characters) I say "hell yeah bring me Warriors Orochi 4"!
Has Push Square reported on the new Berserk Musou? Might want to get on that.
Are they still working on a crossover with a big western property? I can't believe that Berserk is that shudder. I'm looking forward to what they bring next, though I am loving playing through the triad of Samurai Warriors games. And Toukiden 2 shouldn't be too far away.
@Frank90 You haven't even seen the new Dynasty Warriors yet! So how do you know if it's not gonna be better than Samurai Warriors 4? "I hate when people do that." If you haven't heard Dynasty Warriors 9 will have a greater impact than the previous installment(DW8) . No matter how Much Samurai Warriors improved , I still found Dynasty Warriors to be more superior. I hate saying this but that's in my opinion.
@Vincent_Leo I don't know, and I never said that won't be better, but with the exception of 3, SW is always more polished than DW. SW > DW 4, SW 2 > DW5, SW3 + or - DW6/7, SW4 >> ??.
That said I love DW too, with 8 being very good, but mechanic wise SW always tries to go a bit further.
@Vincent_Leo totally agree with u i love samurai warriors but still like u said DW will always be superior then SW
