Despite its vastness, it looks like space won't be able accommodate more than one player in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. The freshly announced shooter will boast a more traditional single player story, moving away from the co-op campaign found in last year's Call of Duty: Black Ops III.
We suppose that's a bit of a shame, given that you won't be able to cause chaos with up to three buddies, but at the same time, we imagine that opting for a strictly single player experience will allow developer Infinity Ward to focus on crafting a memorable, cinematic adventure. Or at least, we'd hope that's the case.
Anyway, if co-op's your cup of tea, you'll still be able to get your fill thanks to the game's Zombies mode - and Activision will apparently be sharing more details on that later this year.
Are you sad to see Infinite Warfare give co-op a miss? Go for it alone in the comments section below.

No more COD for me, nope. Not because there isn't a co-op campaign, but because I'm just damn tired of COD.
I am not bothered by CoD:IW focussing on a Single Player experience. Only W@W and BO3 have offered co-op in their campaigns, both Treyarch and I can't say that BO3's campaign actually benefited from offering a co-op experience. I suspect that contributed to its 'disjointed' nature.
I am really interested to see what the ex-Naughty Dog duo of Taylor Kurosaki (formerly narrative design lead) and Jacob Minkoff (former lead game designer) bring to the Campaign. Both so far have handled the media side with an official 'twitch' stream and interview with Paystation (available on the official Playstation youtube channel) and I must admit, overall I am intrigued to see how this campaign develops.
All of CoD's greatest campaigns have been 'Solo' experiences. I don't like co-op campaigns in general but I admit they can be 'fun' but only after beating the campaign Solo first. I have also found them frustrating where some people have a 'different' agenda - nothing is worse than when 1 (or more) rush off into battle, trigger the next sequence etc when you are collecting up ammo or something. I also find that 'stories' are more focussed if they are purely Solo. I also hate it when people talk over cut-scenes or in-game dialogue.
Not bothered about this myself because I haven't been into co-op since the 16-bit days but it'll be interesting to see what the majority thinks. Knowing the CoD fanbase, most won't give a sh*t. It's right into competitive online multiplayer for them.
Im actually delighted. I do worry that for the mainstream cooperative campaigns are becoming the norm, so casual gamers may get the hump.
Ghost was terrible I'm avoiding this one.
Yet Activision wonders why Call of Duty sales figures is slipping.
