The Star Ocean series is well known for its often hectic, action-based combat systems, and Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness looks to carry on that legacy. The game's got a new battle trailer that covers the fundamentals of fighting, and we have to admit that it looks like a lot of fun.
Alongside your basic light and heavy attacks, each party member has access to unique abilities and techniques, and, unsurprisingly, things can get rather chaotic when you've got the option of dragging seven different characters into battle. Oh, and you can also seamlessly switch between them with the touch of a button. Slick.

Looks decent but I can't decide between Star Ocean 5, Grand Kingdom, NMS or TMNT, yet. Why do they have to be released so close to each other? :/
@WanderingBullet
If you played the other Star Oceans I'd recommend it. Most of the later installments are kind of a hit and miss in all honesty, but it's that stupid generic story that its entertaining to see it through.
Reminds me a lot of PSO2.
@TheEmerlLad I haven't played any of the previous Star Ocean games before.
I'm excited for this. Gotta finish Xenoblade Chroncicles X first though. There is sooo much to do.
I know the PS3 version got delayed in Japan, but it can't be for the graphics, I'm pretty sure SO:TLH looked just as good, if not better, on PS3. And XCX on Wii U blows this away.
Of course this game does have 7 playable characters at once, and that must be a huge drain on the hardware, but the graphics themselves actually remind me more of WKC on PS3 than anything else.
So, is this all 7 playable then? I actually prefer games where I don't have to switch in and out. I'v n ever played games like Sukidon I think it was w/ 107 characters. And XCX was killing me trying to build up affinity w/ people only to have to drop them out of my party to do the affinity and then have to go find them again.
Sill not sure if I'll play this, just finished up XCX and FXV is coming, but it looks interesting. Grandia 2 on Dreamcast is still my favorite battle system - air sneakers FTW - and this brings back those memories, w/o those pesky menus.
@oats-81 that game was awsome. And i didnt even do the end game content
