Regular readers will know that we're gigantic fans of the Yakuza franchise here at Push Square Towers, but even we have to admit that the series has aged poorly. The PlayStation 3 entries, while vibrant, were essentially up-ressed PlayStation 2 games, and the current crop of PlayStation 4 titles all run on the same engine, too. Yakuza 6 is being billed as the first major upgrade for the franchise.
And those in Japan will get their first taste of the PS4 exclusive this week, when a demo is included with copies of Yakuza Kiwami. In order to celebrate that moment, SEGA has streamed 11 minutes of gameplay from the pre-release sampler, which Gematsu has captured for your viewing pleasure below. It looks stunning – and those finishers… Yowza!

That heat combo thing is brilliant!
The district of Kamurocho looks amazing. Imo, it has more personality and character compared to all the cities we see in other huge open world games...
keep on buying Yakuza games so this gets released on the west
