While PlayStation VR is certainly an interesting idea, we've yet to see a game that really sells the concept. Luckily, during today's PlayStation Experience Keynote, Bandai Namco revealed that a new title in the Ace Combat series – Ace Combat 7, to be precise – will be coming exclusively to PlayStation 4, and will make use of the platform holder's expensive goggles.
Granted, the flying-sim doesn't yet have a release window – and all we've seen is this mostly useless CG trailer – but, erm, you know, it's still an exciting concept, and may end up being what sells Sony's daring device to the otherwise unconvinced. Do you like the look of Ace Combat 7? Do a barrel roll in the comments section below.

SUPER excited for this. Love me some Ace Combat.
I dunno about that. I probably wont be buying the device even if I wanted it. I have enough games to play as it is AND SCHOOL.
Well the significant thing about this trailer is that they've apparently dropped the depressing attempt to appeal to the CoD audience that they employed in Assault Horizon. This is back in the more sci-fi, slightly anime-ish style of the other games. It seems Japanese devs have fortunately got over their desire to try to appeal to a Western audience by copycatting Western games. Perhaps it's related to the PS4's dominance and the increasing redundancy of the one Western console, the Xbone.
I feel the need...... the need for speed!
Groovy, looks like a return to form, forget all that COD aping....
Aww yeah! I loved all the PS2 ace combat games. This could likely be what gets me to buy PS VR.
