Fans of Destiny's multiplayer Crucible knew that this was coming: Sunbreaker Titans are being swatted quite hard in the game's 2.1.0 patch, which is supposed to be launching next week.

Ever since The Taken King released, Sunbreakers have been rampaging through the competitive portion of the game, their powerful super making them a lot harder to kill and incredibly dangerous from almost any range. In response to their overly useful nature, Bungie has gone ahead and nerfed the subclass - but it assures us that it hasn't made it rubbish.

For starters, their Hammer of Sol super move has had its travel speed decreased, and activating it won't give you quite as much damage resistance. On top of that, several perk nodes, such as Forgemaster and Flameseeker, have had their effects lessened. Cauterize has a cooldown of three seconds now, too.

It's not all bad news, though, Across the board, Titans have had their melee range extended, meaning that they can whack things in the face with their fists a little easier. Meanwhile, the Striker, which is easily the least used Titan subclass, has been given numerous buffs, such as a base damage increase on Storm Fist, more damage resistance on the Unstoppable perk node, and the Juggernaut shield will now remain active even while airborne. As for Defenders, they're going to enjoy some slight improvements, including instant recharge times on their grenades and melee attacks when activating their Ward of Dawn super.

In short, Subreakers are being cut down to size while Strikers are being improved rather dramatically - at least on paper. Of course, we'll have to wait and see how things pan out in the game before throwing a fit, but be sure to check out the full list of changes through here, and then tell us how you Titans are feeling right now in the comments section below.
