The first time that we saw Star Ocean 5: Integrity and Faithlessness, it looked as though it was a long way from being finished - so it's nice to see that developer tri-Ace has made a lot of progress over the last few months.

In fact, the game's looking pretty great right now on the PlayStation 4, as evidenced by the footage that we've embedded. Part of a Square Enix livestream, there's almost an hour of gameplay to gaze upon, which includes general exploration, menu navigation, and battles with tough looking monsters.

The action role-playing release is due out in Japan in February next year, and while us Westerners are still waiting on a confirmed date, the game's still slated for a 2016 launch in both Europe and North America.
