What property would you like to see Koei Tecmo adapt into a Warriors game? This is the question that Japanese magazine Famitsu put before its readers, and the results are in.
Topping the poll was Touken Ranbu Online - which is sadly lost on us since it's a Japanese browser game. We can only really start to comment when we get to Final Fantasy in fifth place, which we reckon would actually work rather well. The Tales Of series follows in sixth, while the Atelier franchise comes in at number eight - both would potentially make a good fit, and the latter is owned by Koei Tecmo to begin with.
Things start to get interesting with Shin Megami Tensei and Persona in ninth and tenth place, respectively. For those out of the loop, the Persona series is actually a spin-off of the Shin Megami Tensei property - but it's been a while since we've seen any Shin Megami Tensei titles on PlayStation platforms.
Anyway, what's caught our eye here is that representatives of both properties have expressed intrigue when it comes to the idea of collaborating with Koei Tecmo to make a Warriors game. Kazuyuki Yamai, producer of Shin Megami Tensei, simply says "get in touch with us anytime", while Persona's public relations states "it'd be interesting if we could make it one day". Yeah, we think so too.
Whether these teases actually manifest as real games, no one can say just yet, but we fully expect to hear more about Koei Tecmo's plans in the relatively near future. Let's hope that we're not disappointed, eh?

Lol @ Atelier! I love the series but it seems like a bad match imho. I can totally see SMT / PERSONA working well. Final Fantasy might also work VERY well but we already have Dissidia on the way...
Sounds great! Playing as the enjoyable Persona characters in a beat em up instead of a turn based or fighter type system would be tons of fun! Final fantasy sounds great too. Either one could work just like Hyrule Warriors and just mashup all of the characters.
Not really bothered about throwing my favourite Final Fantasy characters into other franchises. Can't say I really liked it in Kingdom Hearts, even!
Dissidia is probably enough for an actionized FF, but Persona warriors sounds intriguing.
I'd like to see a Warcraft based Warriors game or a X- Men one. But if I had my say and licenses weren't an issue, I'd want a "80's and 90's cartoon" Musou. Gi- Joe, Thundercats, He-Man, Samurai Pizza Cats, but also Gummi Bears, Teddy Ruxspin, Ducktales, the Raccoons and many more.
@Bliquid
Not quite the same as a MLP warriors game, still pretty cool imo: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=lhAD7ZNmDsM
How about Capcom Warriors? They crossed over with everyone else at this point.
Dante, Amatarasu and Frank West pretty much have their move-sets made already.
(or if I could dream... PlayStation All-Stars Warriors...)
@Bad-MuthaAdebisi Pre-ordered.
i always thought that style of game would work with FF maybe set in the FFVII Universe and finish the story started in Dirge of Cerberus
EDIT: i know this isn't about this topic but this video of Dissidia (which is done by Koei Tecmo too) shows the game running on PS4, is this the confirmation of the the game coming to PS4 (at least in Japan & i would SO import this even though i wouldn't understand a word)

I want musou Kingdom Hearts
FF Warriors would be interesting. With Dissidia being a fighting game, you arent really getting much of a campaign.
Personally, I would much rather see them make a completely new game with Mistwalker Studios.
@Feena agreed
