Bandai Namco's announced that a new One Piece game is blasting onto Japanese store shelves next year. Entitled One Piece: Burning Blood, it appears to be a one-on-one fighter that's somewhat reminiscent of the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja series.
The brawler got a short trailer during Sony's Tokyo Game Show presser, and it looks promising to say the least - especially in terms of its graphical prowess. The video itself shows off pirates such as Luffy, Ace, Sabo, Crocodile, Eneru, and Doflamingo, so it's reasonably safe to say that it'll have a meaty character roster.
Burning Blood will boil on both PlayStation 4 and Vita, and knowing Bandai Namco, it won't be too long until we hear about potential localisation plans.

I would love this game to come over here plus it's done by Spike Chunsoft the people who did the DBZ Tenkaichi and Raging Blast series (back when they were just Spike) and J-Stars Victory Vs so it's not like they haven't done this type of thing before
Excited to see more of this in the future. It'll be interesting if they try to make a more traditional fighting game akin to Street Fighter or King of Fighters because I don't really think One Piece fits into that genre very well yet that's what the trailer made it look like. The fights are often very environmental in a way that DBZ fights weren't; I mean sure, you'd see mountains crumble in the background but the fight itself was usually a couple of guys in a vast open area with no impediments to the action. One Piece fights often utilise the surroundings a lot more. They play much more into Smash Bros type gameplay.
I'd want a "proper" fighting game set in the One Piece world yet I feel like it'd be more suited to the more open and sandboxy Budokai Tenkaichi type games. Given that's what Spike have made in the past, I guess that's the safe bet.
More one piece is always good.
Looks awesome gotta platinum pirate warriors 3 first ! So close
Hope they don't skip Zoro and Sanji because they ain't fruit user...
